With German names on the street signs, summer bier gartens and the annual Wurstfest, New Braunfels blends the character of its German namesake with the charm and beauty of Texas Hill Country. Old World heritage is abundant in the Historic District of Gruene, featuring the ruins of the original Gristmill and live music at the Gruene Hall. Those in search of more modern fun can check out the Schlitterbahn waterpark, spelunk in the Natural Bridge Caverns or test the waters at Canyon Lake.

Opened in 1942 as a movie theatre, the Art Deco-styled Brauntex, located in the heart of historic downtown New Braunfels Texas (between Austin and San Antonio), now a restored 586 seat performing arts venue, provides an intimate setting to enjoy your favorite artists. The Brauntex is also home to a myriad of events including films, musical and theatrical productions as well as private and corporate events; thus, providing a stage to the community to experience live performing arts events, film screenings while serving as a desirable and stylish venue for other nonprofits to utilize.
A really special Valentine’s show with Country Music legends Connie Smith and Marty Stuart and their respective bands. Very intimate experience considering most of the large venues around these days. We will be back, but get there earlier as there is not a lot of parking available.

Stars and Stripes New Braunfels is a brand new drive-in theater unlike any you've experienced before! Although our facility is modern, it's not lacking any part of the vintage drive-in experience that many of us hold dear. We show new double features year-round. For the full drive-in experience, visit our 50's Cafe to grab Rockin' Eats & Tasty Treats. Arrive about an hour early to skip the line!
My husband, his sister and I visited from Louisiana on Tuesday night. We can’t wait to bring our grandsons when we return to New Braunfels in November. Nice concession stand with lots of options and a wonderful playground (closed due to COVID-19). The owner came over and talked with us.

Moonshine & Ale in downtown New Braunfels boasts a large indoor bar with one of the most exciting Rock & Roll Sing Alone Piano Bar Shows in Texas on Friday and Saturday and Live Band Karaoke on Thursday nights! We have a full bar, 150 different beers and a spinning shot wheel. Moonshine & Ale also has a brand new outdoor patio.
This place is fantastic. Clean, friendly, exceptional value, friendly and efficient staff are all waiting for you here. Lighting is good, air is smoke free and the piano players are outstanding. It is a place for having fun. I can’t believe anyone would give them less than a five star rating.

Loved watching my favorite band ever, Whiskey Myers, at the Whitewater Amphitheater. We ubered from the New Braunfels hotel and scheduled a pickup for after the show cuz signal can be iffy out there. Its in a beautiful location, open air, lots of room for ppl if you dont want to be part of the crowd. They are very safety conscious, thorough patdown. Plenty of bartenders to take your drink order. Was a great time!
