The nearest water park from Kathmandu. Amusement park with LIVE sized Dinosaurs.... and thrilling rides....
We visited in early April 2019. Price was 750 for adults and children taller than 4 feet. Children between 3 and 4 feet were 400. Those under 3 feet tall were free. The price of admission is for one entrance only. Once you leave, you cannot return. There is a cafe inside Whoopee Land. There are also several shops on the approach to it selling swim suits, floaty toys, and food. But don’t buy any food to take in—guards at the entrance of the fun park searched our bags thoroughly for food but let a small amount of crackers through for our toddler. Amusement rides have height as well as age restrictions. Some rides you have to be 16 years old to go on while others accept riders above 4 feet tall. There are several amusement rides for toddlers The water slides do not appear to have age or height restrictions, but at least one will only allow tandem riders on their double tubes. There is a nice play area for toddlers in shallow water, and lots of room for older swimmers to play in deeper water. The water is not heated. If you have a sense of adventure, you’ll love the water slides. If you want a safe experience, this might not be the place for you. (One of our group is a water park aficionado and said he was afraid for his life on a couple of slides. He loved the thrill, but rider beware! Whooooopppeeee!)
