Portasen Herman Wildenvey

Portasen - Herman Wildenvey's childhood home - is located in a beautiful landscape and quiet forest farm in Mjondalen, Nedre Eiker. Portasen is a center for dissemination of Herman Wildenvey life and writing. In addition, a meeting place and venue for local, regional and national artists and cultural workers. In Vaningshuset you will find Sorine Café and Poetry Library. In Laven there is the Herman Wildenvey-room and the Digital Archive. Bryggerihuset is the place for shared experiences and memories. Portasen's outdoor amphitheater can accommodate up to 400 spectators. There are concerts and readings during the summer. In the surroundings there is a rich flora, especially orchids species. Temte farm is a lovely farm museum. The main house is from1812 and is furnished with original furniture. In the storehouse you can find original carts and tools. A beautiful garden belongs to the farm where you can see horses grazing.

Eknes Svommehall

We are not a water park, but we have still a lot to offer in terms of fitness offerings and courses. Eknes Svommehall is characterized by a good atmosphere. We have a large base of loyal customers, who definitely creates a pleasant swimming environment. School and folkebad built in the 70s.
