We (4 adults including 3 photographers) had planned 2 days touring with Sandwich Harbour Offroad, a day in the Namib Desert & a trip to Sandwich Harbour. Unfortunately, weather delayed our cruise ship by a day, so we only had less than 1 full day to explore around Walvis Bay/Swakopmund. Michael Green was wonderfully accommodating to customize our itinerary & our driver/guide, Leon, was a treasure! They created a custom combo so we were able to drive to Sandwich Harbour & cruise the dunes overlooking the Atlantic in the morning, then get a brief sample of the Namib Desert & Swakopmund in the afternoon. On top of a dune we were treated to a variety of homemade local foods plus sparkling wine & beer-all tasty & beautifully served on white linen! We were thrilled to see flamingoes, seals, jackals, ostrich & a snake eagle. I highly recommend Sandwich Harbour Offroad - Thanks Michael & Leon!

Recently, we travelled through Namibia with Ultimate Safaris, the trip was very well organized. We spent 17 days in a private tour visiting the most amazing parks and landscapes. Additionally, we stayed in amazing lodges such as The Fort, Okonjima. The highlights were Obdulia Ridge, a lodge in between the rocks, with exquisite attention and excellent food. Also the Andbeyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, this is a must visit lodge with great views, food, attention and sightseeing. A must do trip before you die. Our private tour guide/driver, Peter Nuugonya, great knowledge and very experienced guide. The weird thing happen because Peter only looked at my wife when we talked, even if I asked a question he answered looking at her, weird isn’t it? However, don’t let this weird anecdote spoil a great trip
Our half day tour departs from Swakopmund in the morning or afternoon hours. On this welwitschia and moon landscape tour we explore the rocky granite valley, known as “The Moon Valley”, approximately 30km east of Swakopmund. This amazing landscape was carved out by the Swakop River over time and offers vast ever-changing landscapes. Special care is taken not to damage the gravel plains and cause any unnecessary damage to the eco system. Stops are continuous to point out all features of interest including the desert adapted plants and any small creatures to be found along the way. Great care is taken in sharing knowledge with guests on each desert animal and plant, including emphasis on special adaptations and perfect design used for survival in the desert by the guides. Pickup: at your accommodation within Swakopmund Includes: Soft drinks,Lunch Duration: half day tour, approx 5 hours ,Afternoon tour – Morning tours on request

We were tired from extensive touring (three travelers) and thought of skipping this township visit. Are we glad we decided to join Nande Junia's 1/2 day explorer tour! Our guide was kind, informative, and had planned an interesting visit to one of Namibia's townships. "Township" being the local explanation in Africa for a town/village of minimally economic development. For the poorest citizens, basically with outdoor plumbing, very small living area, and few services. Here in Namibia, in this community, we discovered that Swakopmund was well maintained and harbored many interesting sights. Entrepreneurship all around, from the ladies who taught "clicking" to tourists to the a capella choir, singing for us during our homemade lunch in another house, we spent 4 hours being captivated by this slice of Africa. I recommend heartily this tour group. First-class all the way.
This 3 days Safari takes you to Swakopmund the coastal city in Namibia, its sandy beaches face the Atlantic Ocean. Established by German colonists in 1892, the city’s colonial landmarks include the Swakopmund Lighthouse and the Mole, an old sea wall. Next to the lighthouse, the Swakopmund Museum documents Namibian history. Inland, the elegant Swakopmund Railway Station, now a hotel, also dates to the colonial era.

This webinar is exactly what you were looking for since it offers you an in-depth look at the most extraordinary traditional tribes of East and West Africa, showing you their ways of living in the most spectacular remote rural and desert areas. I lived in Africa for twelve years of my life, working as a photographer and documentary film-maker for UN Agencies and International NGOs. I documented their projects, traveling in fourteen Sub-Saharian countries, seeing and experiencing magical beauty, and touching lives. In twelve years I acquired a vast archive of photos, each one of them with incredibly touching stories behind. If you are ready to embark on a photography learning journey join me on this journey and experience Africa before it will vanish forever.

We attended Giulio's webinar on mindfulness as a group of photographers and all participating really enjoyed it - a lot to think about, useful links, thought-provoking approach. Giulio is a master of photography who focuses on the experience and the meaning of each photo taken not on the number of followers or clicks which is very rare nowadays. Absolutely recommend it to everyone at any stage of their photography journey!
