Palmerstown House Estate

Hands down it would take place here... OMG! This late Nineteenth-Century home/manor [I think 1870] where gorgeous barley describes its stunning beauty... grounds and gardens I think about one thousand acres meticulously maintained, finding myself roaming around more than once. Let me back up, I was one of eighty guests invited to a very hush, hush wedding... even more impressive, I was invited to spend the night in the manor on the estate. I say more impressive because the manor only has twenty rooms, and NO opportunity to book/reserve a room, it's by invitation only, from the wedding couple... now that's an impressive way to tell someone you love and cherish their friendship... who's the VIP now. Every detail of the two day wedding was smooth as silk, and every guest I met was more lovelier then the last, pure joy and happiness, which makes the entire experience that more memorable. Day one started with a shot-gun golf outing, and thinking my nine handicap would be impressive to my three fellow golfers... silly, silly me, wrong, wrong, wrong, after two holes I just knew I'd be buying at the turn! [kidding] After golf was lunch at the club house, and everything I ordered was yum, yum yummy, and quite healthy too, and an abundant supply of adult beverage options. After lunch it was time to get into my room and clean up a bit before taking a stroll around the grounds... oh, the eighteen hole championship course is gorgeous and at times kicked my [booty] trees everywhere, streams and ponds, bridges and meticulously maintained greens. The manor is simply stunning, and my room was beautiful, furnishings luxurious, bathroom large and spotless, nice amenities, fluffy plush towels and big huge four poster bed fit for a king. My stroll was peaceful and exactly what was needed to center me before the evenings festivities, I knew this was going to be a wedding to remember! [it was] Sadly, but understandable... phones and cameras were not permitted and taken from all guests, when we arrived, so the few photos I have will not allow you to see just how gorgeous this place really is... thankfully guest's graciously received personal photo albums by mail a month after. So, the night was magical, dinner delicious, cake stunning and amazing, atmosphere beyond imaginable, music fantastic, staff member's over the top gracious, warm, attentive, friendly and professional. I will never forget my dear friend allowing me to be apart of this once in a lifetime adventure with her on such a memorable occasion. Enjoy every adventure ahead of you and the diversity our planet offers
