Built by Byzantines who fortified this ancient Acropolis, the castle of Myrina had many tenants. Byzantines, Venetians, Genoese, Turks. It's strategical place made it too hot to pass by. It is not accidental that is the largest castle in the Aegean sea! More than that it is saved in a pretty good condition. Whenever I strolled around at Myrina, my eyes always were picking its great image. Like a giant loose belt of rocks crowns the top of the hill and supervises the whole place. And when the night comes..It is even more magical. A must see!

The Artspace Ochra Blue is located in the Central Market of Myrina, one of the best streets for walk and shopping. It hosts Exhibitions of fine art by prominent creators. At the same time, the visitor can find handmade ceramics, jewelery and crafts.
Ochra Blue is a small art space where you can find the perfect gift (for friends or even for yourself) from a variety of selected art objects.

This is a small museum but packed full of ancient artefacts and well worth visiting. Only 1 floor was open when we visited as they are doing restoration to the upper floor, but they had brought down some of the cabinets to the lower floor. Entry 3euros and the very good guide book 6euro.

Came to Karagiozis a few times coffee during the day. It's in a great location overlooking the water. It's a popular place for the locals, you may have to wait for a table during peak times. Sometimes there is live music and guest DJs at night. Great coffee served, but note that there is no food sold here.

Sailing tours with the Princess of Lemnos. We offer morning and afternoon trips to the beautiful Beaches of Lemnos. Every week we have a day trip to Agios Efstratios.
Princess of Lemnos is a 51ft sailing yacht.
A group of 10 of us booked to go for an evening sail and watch the sunset. We left the port around 6pm and the skipper gave us an option of going to somewhere that we could swim and snorkel, or just sailing. We opted to sail with everyone being as involved as they wanted - if you didn't want to do much then the skipper can do it all but we all enjoyed taking part and it was a nice yacht to sail.
As is fairly typical the sunset was stunning and it was particularly good seeing it from the sea before coming back to the port a little after 8pm. A very pleasant experience to share with a group of friends.

The “Xeiroplathi” is a family workshop of ceramics and other handcrafts on the beautiful island of Limnos, in Greece. Since 2010 we create exclusive crafting by hand, handmade and handbuilt ceramics, painting and burn them at1000-1100 ° C in our special kiln. You can visit us at our place in the central market of Myrina (Kyda 55), or at our place in the village in Sardes, the stone “small house” next to our house, where we also create and exhibit our creations. Being both empirical in our work we do nothing more than folk art, we are trying to make nothing more than beautiful but also accessible objects for all people. Glad to see you up if you are planning visit our island! Helen & Pantelis Xeiroplathi Limnos CeramiX Workshop , Limnos island, Greece.
In this ceramic shop the objects they made and sell looks like ceramics made by little children. These have not created in a professional way and the way of glazing is below level. You easily can see it on the bottom of the ceramic works where no glazes are on it.
I have done ceramics at the academy of art and follow still lessons 3 times a week on ceramic technics, different ways of glazing and so on and was very disappointed to see the works in that shop!
