Classic whitewashed buildings line the labyrinthine streets of Mykonos, the largest town on the Greek island of the same name. Matoyianni Street is particularly charming. Iconic 16th-century windmills keep watch over the village from the hills above, and the fully functional Boni Mill is part of the Mykonos Agricultural Museum. The Aegean Maritime Museum and the Folklore Museum will give you a proper introduction to the area’s rich cultural and economic history.

Lovely Byzantine church overlooking the sea.
If you go to Mykonos, please make sure to visit this church. It is just such a stunning and a not to be missed site. This is the oldest church in Mykonos which dates back to the late 14th century. It consists in 5 churches in one. They were not all built at once but rather added as time passed by throughout the centuries.

A must do while in Mykonos! Sunset time is the best time to visit Little Venice, preferably latest by 7.30pm to have an hour to watch the full sunset while enjoying a refreshing cocktail at one of the cafes situated on the shore of this location. Best enjoyed in a romantic mood with your loved one, or a flirt, easily found in Mykonos ;))

The streets are very narrow with lots of shops and colourful ceramic displays. There are also places to stay in this area and lots of places to take very picturesque photographs. It’s always very busy in this area, but that’s all part of the attraction.

These beautiful windmills are free to visit, and so beautiful as they sit up on a small hill next to the water. A must see if you are in Mykonos.

The joy of Greek churches is that they are so unusual - they just have to be seen. This one was quiet, with seats to sit on and offer a prayer. Ornate icons and general decor - loved it.

My husband and I got married in this church . It was the most beautiful little church we’ve ever seen. It was authentic. Father Riccardo was really friendly and funny . He was really awesome working with us . The church is always open so you’re able to see it at anytime of day . Definitely a very beautiful church wit history
