The Omani city of Muscat is predominantly populated by Islamic Arabs, though it also has a sizable, non-resident Indian population, further rounded out by American, British and Dutch citizens. Muscat is a tolerant and progressive city, where English speakers are relatively common. Arrange fares beforehand if seeing the city by taxi. To explore further, consider renting a car. Don't miss the imposing Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, atmospheric Old Muttrah Souk, Al Alam Royal Palace or Al Jalali Fort.

We had scheduled day tours of Muscat and Salalah and was in Dubai awaiting our cruise on March 12th. We had private tours with Oman Tours reserved. They were wonderful in cancellations! We had to ASAP return to USA first plane available due to our government request or be quarantined at end of cruise in Europe. We will return next year to finish our tours of Oman and will request Sarah to help us again with our plans. She is excellent. Thanks again and see you next year!

Wadi Shab (وادي شاب) also spelled Wadi Shaab, is a very popular wadi located in the Al Sharqiyah Region in Oman. It is a very popular outdoor attraction for both locals and expats, and people come here for nature, to swim in the fresh water pools or just to have a barbecue. The main attraction of the wadi is the waterfall in the cave, which you can reach after a roughly 40 mins hike and swimming in 2-3 pools. I really love coming to this wadi as it is not very far from Muscat, is easily accessible even with a saloon car and because the pools are always full with the clear blue water!

Oman Safari tours team organized a wonderful trip for us. They solve our visa issues and assist us for Muscat flights. Transfers to hotels and airport are organised perfectly on time. Nizwa forts and souqs were the best moment of our tour. It was the real history oman administration seating place. The outside view of the Nizwa Castle was really a view of old Oman history. I impressed their organization staff and team that offer us a wonderful tour for us.

Our first stop in the morning is the Sultan´s Quaboos Grand Mosque. Admire there the 12m long chandelier and get an impression of Omani´s religion (Opening hours: From 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday till Thursday). Explore at your next stop the exotic fish, fresh fruits and colorful vegetables at the traditional market in Muttrah. Feel free to mingle with the crowd and don’t forget to negotiate.Only a few meters from there you enter the famous MuttrahSouq where you will find a countless mix of Omani handcrafts, enjoy the oriental sound and smell the gold of Oman “Fragrances”. We drive along the beautiful Corniche to Old Muscat, where we stop for memorable picture of the Sultan's Palace which is surrounded by the Portuguese forts of Jalali and Mirani. At the Bait Al Zubair Museum you get an exclusive chance to get informative information about the Omani culture and their history.

It was my first time in Muscat and I wanted to remember this city. To do this, I reviewed many companies that are engaged in excursions and decided to stop at Gidoman . So, I didn't regret my choice and it was the coolest ride of my life. Our guide Ilya, talked to us very interesting information about the city sights. Most of all, I liked the Corniche Road and the old market. We took amazing photos against the background of snow-white beautiful buildings like in the tale of Aladdin.
