Upper Peninsula Inspired, formerly Garden Bay Winery, is a wine tasting room. We carry 5 Upper Peninsula Wineries (Garden Bay Winery, Northern Sun Winery, Leigh's Garden Winery, End of the Road Winery and Threefold Vine Winery) and 4 Upper Peninsula Breweries (Upper Hand, BlackRocks, Ore Dock, and Keweenaw Brewing Company) for tasting and for purchase. We have Michigan Made Products including gourmet food and candy.
What up son?! We're talkin $6 for wine tastings of 3 different beverages. We're talkin supportin the local community by selling wine from around the UP. We're talkin ultra nice staff who make you feel at home. One in the air for this place because it slaps. If you're in Munising then you need to be about this place. Stop in. Get some drank. Party. I myself, bought some Northern Lights Out blackberry wine which was right.

A large collection of local art and fine craft including functional pottery, jewelry, photography, woodenware, wearables and fiber art, naturecraft, original paintings, blown&fused glass, metalwork;handmade bodycare, candles,&ornaments;specialty foods, art cards and more. Many U.P.themed items. Open May thru December. Daily mid-June thru Labor Day. Artist owned&operated. Home of Open Wings Pottery.
We stopped here on a whim and I'm so glad that we did! Open Wings includes artwork from several different artists, including ceramics, textiles, photography, woodwork, metalwork/jewelry, etc. Many items are great souvenirs with images of the UP, Michigan, or Lake Superior, a good selection was functional in that you could eat/cook with it or wear it (gloves and hats), and others are simply beautiful artwork. I happily purchased a ceramic mug with the image of the UP on it as well as some local jam. Definitely a great alternative to the other kitschy souvenir stores in Munising (although don't get me wrong, I love that stuff too ha!). More on the expensive side, but I think there was something for every price point, and the art is hand made and local after all!

Being from Beer City USA I am very critical other breweries having some of the best available to me. This brewery was fantastic! The IPA (Old Trus’s) was clean, crisp & hoppy which I love. The bartender & patrons were friendly, engaging & helpful for dinner suggestion. While Pictured Rocks is a must see this brewery for beer lovers should be on your itinerary.
