Lovely place to visit, lots of walking trails and beautiful all seasons of the year. Great to run or bike through or visit with kids. There are ponds with frogs, turtles, fish and geese. No catching animals or fishing, but super fun. Great in the fall when leaves are everywhere.

This Saturday event celebrates local farmers, artists, craftspeople and musicians by providing them with an opportunity to interact directly with the community and its visitors. Highlights include fresh produce, meat, delicious homemade baked goods, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers and quality handmade crafts. The Moscow Farmers Market is located downtown in Friendship Square. It is held each Saturday, May through October, from 8:00 a.M. - 1:00 P.M.
They block off Main Street for the market. We were there the end of the season and it was still pretty big. Local veggies, fruit, cheeses and meats. Also art.

Bring or rent a bike and explore miles of rolling hills. Spring is best for scenery and scents. Keep your eyes out for wildlife -- it's there, but elusive. Plenty of beautiful farms to see.

This is a nice water park, especially for younger kids. The park in Clarkston is much better for teens or adults since it has a large lazy river and a great wave pool. The lazy river in Moscow is very small. However, if you want something nearby, this is fine summer fun. I did think the bathrooms could be cleaner; there was so much water on the floor that it was difficult to change clothes and seemed a bit icky. Prices seem reasonable and I'm sure a season ticket is well worth it if you have small children.

The Appaloosa Museum is part horse, part history museum right on the state line. It's definitely worth the stop. The museum is split in 2. One side mainly tells the history of both the horses and the area. There is a short video that is worth watching. The Appaloosa horses do have an interesting history. Native American artifacts and horse related memorabilia take up this half as well. The other half mainly talks about the heritage club and what they do. There is no admission, suggested donation only. It would be interesting to go back during times when they actually have horses to see. Only real issue I would have this place is what a previous reviewer mentioned. We got there a few minutes before 11 when they were supposed to open. They didn't open up until 11:20. It would be in their best interest to stick with the hours posted or else they could lose a lot of potential visitors. In all though, it was definitely worth the hour or so spent.

Rants & Raves Brewery is a craft brewery and family friendly grill located in Moscow, ID.
Rants & Raves is a great brewery with a fun taproom! The food is really excellent, some of the best I've had in Moscow. The beers are quite good, and they have a wide variety available. I strongly recommend the french dip and the burgers!Thank you for your kind comments. We look forward to your next visit!

The McConnell Mansion is more then just a pretty face. The Latah County Historical Society holds many events throughout the year there including a Victorian Christmas open house in December (FREE), Victorian Valentines open house in February (FREE), a Victorian Tea in May(reservations needed for this event and it cost $) and the Ice Cream Social in July open to all and it's FREE. They have docents that offer tours throughout the year Tuesdays - Fridays from 1-4pm. Fun place to go and dream of yesteryear. Beautiful home with atmostphere galore.

Spring Valley has been a college/high school student hangout for decades, and on weekends it can get a bit loud and messy. There's an island to play on and fish to catch...
A bit further down the highway there is Moose Creek Reservoir and its associated campground, and a really nice place at Big Boulder. Both are worth considering I you want someplace different.

How wonderful to have a nicely maintained ice rink right in the heart of Moscow, Idaho. Large full size rink with plently of space to skate. They offer skate rentals for those who don't have their own. Prices are avarage for rentals and rink use. Wonderful place to go in the winter when you want something to do in town.

Plenty of shops to choose from and places to eat. Locals who need to exercise on flat ground will stroll through the mall during the days.
