You can swim and also do a little track walk from Mills beach to the Shire Hall beach. There're a few lookout points on the track so you can view the 2 beaches from different angles. A nice protected beach close to Arthur's Seat, so if you can definitely go up the hill in the morning then come down to the beach in the afternoon.

On the second Sunday of every month from 9am to 2pm a makers market swings into action at the picturesque Mornington Racecourse.
We love heading over to Mornington Racecourse market, tasting the free samples from food around the world. Buying some local veggies and enjoying the buzz of the market. It's $4 to park your car and free entrance as a pedestrian. Great place to take the family.

The Mornington Botanical Rose Garden is situated in Civic Reserve on the corner of Dunns and Mornington-Tyabb Road, Mornington and is nestled between the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery and the community based Oakhill Gallery. The garden has over 4000 roses planted in 86 beds and is surrounded by a border of native Australian trees and shrubs. It was built and is maintained by volunteers, generous sponsor donations and the support of Mornington Peninsula Shire Council. The Mornington Rose Garden is open seven days a week and admission is free. However, Gold Coin donations are welcome and will contribute to the maintenance of the Rose Garden. A feature of the garden is a rotunda situated in front of the entrance colonnade, the rotunda provides an appealing area to relax and enjoy the vista of roses with the colour combinations set on an artist’s palette. It has become a very popular venue for wedding ceremonies, proposals and other significant celebrations.
The Mornington Botanical Rose Garden is absolutely stunning at this time of the year. Thanks to the hard work put in by the very enthusiastic and friendly volunteers. There are numerous varieties and all different shades of colour in a well manicured grass area. The whole area is magnificently maintained.

Imagine this. A whole kilometre of cosmopolitan boutique shopping, with more than 370 retail outlets to explore. The pavements are broad and tree-shaded, with inviting courtyards, verandahs and kerbside seating for an espresso or glass of fine regional wine. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and there's not a highrise building in sight. And right at the end of the street is the sparkling sea
Main St has a great offering of small businesses including great coffee outlets and restaurants as well as fashion shops and a great outdoor market on Wednesday’s. Don’t forget to check out the side streets and alleys as they also have good offerings. Longer term easy parking is available behind Main St on either side with shorter term spaces available on the street.

There is so much for a visitor to do in Mornington, and one of the highlights is the Pier. It's long, wide, and the home to a number of fishing boats. We didn't do any fishing there, but it's obviously a popular spot to wet a line. The views across the Bay are noteworthy.
