Don't have the diving or snorkelling gear you need? We hire BCDs, regulators, scuba dive cylinders, wetsuits and weight belts for the day. You can buy the rest at everyday low prices! Shop for all your Scuba Diving, Snorkeling and Watersports needs. Specialising in all aspects of scuba diver training, The Scuba Doctor Dive Shop is Melbourne's premier destination for scuba diving, freediving, spearfishing and snorkelling equipment. Based in Rye, our easy access facility is just 90 minutes from Melbourne.
We went diving with Scuba Doctor guide Sam for two days to search for sea dragons and other critters. We went one day to Flinders Pier and one day to the Blairgowrie and Rye Piers. We are still surprised with how amazing the diving was. We expected cool sea dragons but we saw so much more! Seahorses, cuttlefish, squid, giant stingrays and the list goes on. Sam was a great guide who was determined to show us the best that Rye (and surroundings) had to offer. We could not have been happier with his service. We also rented BCDs, equipment was in good state and looked quite new. Beware, they don't rent out fins so you have to bring those yourself. We had a great time!

A cool coastal emporium of local and international design and lifestyle brands, right in the centre of Ocean Beach Road. Cape Merchants is unique to Sorrento, the Mornington Peninsula and maybe even Australia. In an amazing retail setting you’ll find local gifts, stylish souvenirs, fashion designed in the store’s own studio, coastal gear, recycled sail accessories and homewares, books, curated vintage pieces, beach gear and outdoor furniture. There’s something for everyone here: children, tourists, travellers, holidaymakers, boaties, fishermen, beach goers, house proud folks, coastal dwellers and city slickers.
Feb 2019 This is a great shop filled with eclectic gift ideas for men and women, children, your furry friends and items for the house both inside and out. I spent about an hour slowly moving around the shop. It contains many locally made or Australian made goods and overseas items too. I particularly like their soaps and wooden board games, which are great for holidays and cold days in. This time around I bought a few gifts for family overseas and something for myself. A very Melbourne apron, some kitchen wipes with an Australian theme and for myself some glasses frames. Prices vary from cheaper sale items up to expensive. You have to be willing to take the time to find something in your price range and suiting your needs. Staff are helpful and friendly. Drop in when COVID-19 restrictions are over or for now checkout what they have online. A great place for tourists and locals alike.
