The most northerly of the Western Fjord counties, More og Romsdal is a land of rich and rugged terrain, including steep mountains, rolling valleys, many islands, some of the country’s longest waterfalls and, of course, the deep fjords that make the area so famous. Geirangerfjord, one of Norway’s most visited fjords, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and home to the spectacular Brudesløret (Bride’s Veil) and De Syv Søstrene (The Seven Sisters) waterfalls. Picturesque Alesund is the county capital.

Escape Rooms.
We really enjoyed both rooms at Ålesund Escape Games. They were suitably challenging and I like the fact that you have 75 minutes to escape. I enjoyed the mafia room best due to the style and layout of the room and the puzzles were excellent. The staff were very friendly and the reception area was very clean, spacious and welcoming. I would recommend a visit if you are in Ålesund.

Aker Stadium is one of Norway's most modern football stadiums, seating 11,200. In addition to the sports facilities the stadium has a restaurant, cafe, 10 kiosks, 52 toilets, a sports clinic, a laundry and business facilities. There are unique media facilities: 2 camera platforms, an editing room, 8 commentary boxes, a press tribune, a workroom and meeting room for press conferences. The stadium, situated on the waterfront to the west of the town centre and designed by Molde architect Kjell Kosberg, has a granite and glass frontage. The stadium was paid for by Kjell Inge Rokke and Bjorn Rune Gjelsten and cost 212 million kroner in 1998. Want to visit the stadium? Molde Footbalclub offers guidied tours through Molde Adventure Center (see URL-link). You can also come by the administration (entrance 10), were we have a small supporter shop. Welcome!

In 2017 the old Hydropowermuseum in Tafjord was rebuidlt into an exciting Hydropower and Avelanche Centre. The centre offers lots of family activities such as escape rooms, inndoor climbing and a 60 meter high outdoor rappell. In addition to our activites, the centre have many active and passive instalations within basic avelanch science, history around the fatal Tafjord Accident and the development of hydropower station from the Tafjord watercourse. Here you can play with, learn about and experience the forces of nature through our adapted exhibitions and activities. In other words, this is fun edutainment activities for all ages. The center is close to many hiking trails, and a visit to us can be combined with a visit to the Zakarias Dam or other hiking and adventures activities in Tafjord and the Tafjord Mountain Range Tafjorden is on the UNESCO World Herritage list, and the drive from Valldal to Tafjord gives you an incredible scenic drive over the area.
