Just returned from a lovely trip to the beautiful city of Edinburgh, can't wait to go back ???? During my stay I booked two 1 day tours with Rabbis. Firstly a huge thank you for running the tours with just the 2 of us, our stay had been planned around these days out so very grateful they went ahead. The Outlander tour with Lizzie was amazing as was Lizzie, she went out of her way to ensure we had a great day even though the weather was a bit liquidy! She was extremely knowledgeable about the Outlander series/locations and Scottish history in general, many thanks Lizzie. Our second tour was to St Andrews and the fishing villages of Fife with David who was fab, he was extremely helpful, flexible, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. The villages were beautiful and St Andrews was stunning, we were also fortunate enough to have lovely sunny weather. I would highly recommend both tours and guides! Kathy ☀️☔????

Home to around 50% of all Scottish whisky distilleries, there's almost too much to see and drink. So on this tour, we help you get the most out of the region by taking you to two distinct distilleries. It’s a chance to learn about the incredible history, process, and flavours of Scotland’s national drink.

We had a fabulous time exploring Highlands. Alice, our driver and guide, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She took the local roads in the way to Inverness, and shared with us history of Scotland, and we truly enjoyed it. Boat trip was arranged in advance, so everything went smoothly. Highly recommended!

Soak up the spirit of Speyside on a 3-Day small-group whisky tour! Explore Scotland’s principle malt whisky producing region, which is noted for its elegant and subtle-tasting whiskies. Your small-group 3-day whisky tour will depart from Edinburgh with a maximum of 16 people and head to the north-east area of Scotland! The region of Speyside follows the path of the River Spey, stretching from the west of the Cairngorm National Park to the east coast. Boasting an impressive scene of winding lochs, green glens and dramatic peaks, the region has something for everyone. Enjoy visits to four of the region’s famous whisky distilleries, Dalwhinnie, Benromach, Glenfiddich and Glenlivet and enjoy tastings and samples galore. Speyside is home to another 42 operating distilleries, so there’s certainly plenty more to see if time permits! You will also visit Gordon and MacPhail’s legendary whisky shop in the Royal Burgh (town) of Elgin where you can shop for some of Speyside’s finest malts.
Inclusions: Driver guide, Small Group Tour (16 people max), 2 nights overnight accommodation including breakfast, with private facilities in either a B&B or 3-star hotel, Transport by air-conditioned mini-coach

Scotland is world renowned for its production of the finest single malt whisky. Each single malt whisky boasts its unique taste and characteristics, influenced by the wonderful natural spring water so abundant throughout the country. The production methods for each single malt has been meticulously preserved through tradition and guarded by the distillery. Their traditional production methods and fine ingredients creates the subtle differences and intricate flavours which differentiates one malt whisky from the next. Happy Tours will take you to visit some of the most wonderful Speyside whisky distilleries so you can learn their secrets, and taste their wares.

We loved this tour so much that we booked another Happy Tour for the next day! Our man in a kilt, Drew, and trainee, Robert, were knowledgable, funny and full of stories. There was only the 3 of us as we had to book a private tour due to COVID and we really got to know our guides. The scenery is stunning and the tour covers a lot of history and sights. The Viaduct is a great highlight especially for the Harry Potter fans but you see so much more too. The bus is also very comfy and spacious and the guides go out of their way to ensure you’re happy, would strongly recommend!

If you love water of life (Uisge Beatha), this is the tour for you! Leaving your accomodation, we shall travel south, taking in some beautiful scenery and good stories. Arriving to Speyside, there is a variety of distillerys to choose from. My recommandation would be Cragganmore, Cardhu and the Speyside Cooperage ( here you can experience the making of the casks and you can also have a go at making one) Lunch can be taken in the quaint little town of Aberlour. On our way home, we will travel along the Moray coast, taking in the Black Isle also.

Tartan Tours are exclusive to Avril's Travels where you are personally guided around the highlands by a born and bred highland lassie or true scotsman. Join us as we venture the Speyside way taking in beautiful scenery and distilleries of your choice. We will also stop in the village of Grantown on Spey. This tour is totally customizable, you can choose which distillery you wish to visit. Those listed are a guide to what is in the area. Please message to discuss choice. We will email you to confirm this.

We were a group of twelve friends who had a fantastic trip to Scotland one year ago (May 2019). In this time of staying close to home, it makes the memories of our trip to Scotland even more special. Avril made our week in the Highlands so relaxing. She filled all our transportation needs, from our arrival at the train station in Inverness, shopping for groceries and taking us to very different locations and experiences that made our vacation extra wonderful. She picked us up at our farmhouse location for our tours and even recommended a chef couple who prepared a top notch Scottish 5 course meal at our residence one evening. She knows all the good photo stops. 5 Stars. We toured the three “Ds” on our last cold wet windy day together. Great suggestion for the weather. Also toured part of Skye and Ben Nevis, Fort William and Loch Shiel. Lynne and Mike
