Dropped in to just buy some honey. Then found the friendly staff happy to talk about the bees, the huge range of products (honey, bee keeping equipment, honey ciders and many more). Our new favourite place for honey and all things alike. Loved the indoor hive with entrance tunnel to the outside world! Thanks for helping us understand honey better. Would be a good place for kids too.

THE BIG GOOSE combines farm animals with an adventure park, situated in Moorooduc only 800m from Peninsula Link. The park is made up of different adventures, including a tractor ride, exploring the petting barn and wildlife park, having a hit on the mini golf course, getting muddled in the tyre maze, climbing around the adventure playground plus the splash park (summer). You will love the natural beauty of the farmland and how well the animals are loved and looked after by our staff. Enjoy lunch at the Rotunda Cafe or bring a picnic and enjoy a day of family fun for everyone. Only 40 mins from Melbourne via East Link and Peninsula Link! OPERATING HOURS DURING SCHOOL TERM - WEDNESDAY to SUNDAY OPEN EVERY DAY IN THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
Our children took us out to Big Goose to celebrate our grandson's third birthday. We also took my mother making it an outing for four generations of the family. It is located around 15-20 minutes past Frankston so not far out of the way and very easy to get to. It is a combination of farm, adventure playground, petting zoo and educational shows. Throw in tractor and pony rides and it made an entertaining day for us all. Our 1 and 3yo grand kids loved being able to go into the pens and feed the rabbits and guinea pigs, chickens and other baby animals. Then to run around the adventure playground. There was a show demonstrating sheep round ups and one with reptiles. In between you could hand feed the goats, sheep and lots of other farm animals with a few exotics like Ostriches mixed in. My mother is in a wheelchair and while the paths were a bit bumpy she had a great time interacting with both the great grandchildren and the animals. There is a cafe on site or picnic areas. The staff were all really helpful and friendly and it gave a feeling that they were all family working together to put it together. At around $55 for a family ticket it was great value for 2 or 3 hours entertainment. It caters for younger children but good for the whole family.

The food was exciting. It was creative and beautifully executed. Haven't had anything this good in a long time. This is not pub grub it is first class food. Whilst there was only a small menu it was perfect. The King Fish entree was delectable as was the BBQ squid, the Shoulder of Lamb was brilliant. A fantastic interpretation. One of my companions said his pasta dish was perfect and two other had magnificently cooked Duck. I finished with a Frozen raspberry Bombe . The meal was perfect. My only negative comment is that the meals are smallish and you will need some sides. We actually shared Potatoes cooked in Dick fat. Excellent. We drank Chardonnay which is one of the best I have ever drank and companions had Pinot Noir which was also a great style and taste. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend.

What a local gem to find. Can see many afternoons with a cheese platter and a bottle over looking the vineyard. The wines were all excellent. The Fiano and the pinot noir a stand out for me. Served by the owners, happy to pass on their vast knowledge and passion. The cheese platter was perfect with the best mix of blue, soft, hard cheeses of the highest quality, plenty of crackers. I could not fault this winery. You are going to the cellar Phaedreus, you deserve your spot. Thankyou for a perfect afternoon

Serious quality. We made an appointment to taste here. That was handled very nicely. The young gentleman who took us through a good range of their whites and reds was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant. We were extremely impressed with the wines and had a very enjoyable time and purchased a number of bottles. Conclusion, it’s a great place.
