Sam Merriefield has more space after the epidemic. The Community Lounge idea seems to have taken off, it's a new direction for the library. The meeting rooms are still available, book early if you want to usse them. By the way, there is free wifi, it's very popular. Parking is not usually a problem, especially on weekends and after hours.

The Ascot Vale Library is on the corner of Union Road and St Leonard's Road. It has large corner windows, which brighten up the Library. It has a convenient magazine corner. The Library also has an extensive DVD collection. Its monograph collection includes fiction and some interesting biographies. The seed library is interesting -- you take the seeds, grow the plants and when they turn to seed, you return the new seeds to the Library. The Library also has computers. One intriguing feature is the Book Nook, where families can read together. The Ascot Vale Library is a member of the Moonee Valley Regional Library Service.

The Toy Library is mainly for younger children. There is a great range of toys. These days, parents often want toys that educate as well as amuse. The Toy Library is a co-operative venture. Parents must be members to borrow, and be prepared to do a limited amount of volunteering. There is a special rate for grandparents. The Toy Library is an independent organisation. It is supported by the City of Moonee Valley and public-spirited corporate sponsors.

Avondale Hieghts Library and Learning Centre is a modern resource centre that caters to anyone who cares to seek information. It is well equipped and allows visitors to ue wi-fi, which is free. The library caters to all ages, many students study there. The Avondale Heights library is part of the Moonee Valley Library Service. It's located on Military Road, a major traffic artery. It's easy to find. By the way, all Moonee Valley libraries re-opened from 1 June 2021, offering standard services and opening hours.
