What to do and see in Montmartre, Ile-de-France: The Best Nature & Parks

August 30, 2021 Kiesha Cripe

Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

Square Louise Michel

Square Louise Michel is a large green area in front of Sacre Coeur Basilica. It has plenty of space to sit and lie down, walk and even run. The only problem is it is at a slope so to get anywhere on it, particularly to the top, where Sacre Coeur basilica is, you either have to walk the numerous steps, or be lazy and catch the funicular. On the way up you will love the water features, the beautiful flower beds and other features of the Montmartre hill.
