Fernland Historical Park and Memory Park are two City parks in Montgomery, Tx.
We wanted to see the local area and be outside so we stopped here!! We were not disappointed! A local history teacher gave us a personal tour of each building and shared many nuggets of wisdom! There are 5 buildings to see. 2 homes, 2 cabins and a blacksmith shop. He unlocked each one for us and let us see things up close. Many things may be touched and you can learn how things were done in the early 1800’s!! The construction of a cabin with no nails is amazing to see!! We walked Thru the memorial garden- next to the property too and it was very peaceful.

When you arrive at Sunshine Farm, please check in at the office/gift shop. We will be happy to provide you with a tour guide who will walk you all around the farm and show you what's going on. You are welcome to visit our gift shop to see where our natural skincare line is made. Step into the showroom and sample the products. Please be advised that we are a real farm. Our animals are not pets. They are an important part of our sustainability. It's is important to keep an eye on your children as we have working tools and animals everywhere. Some of our animals will allow you to pet them and some will not. They are not tame and may consider a finger a tasty treat. Caution is always advised. When you visit, we ask that you dress for the farm. Closed toed shoes are advised. Hats, sunscreen and water are never a bad idea too. We do promise that you will have a fun time, learn something new and leave with a memory you and your family will cherish.
We have been staying at La Torretta resort and drove out to Sunshine Farm today for a quick visit. It was about 20 minutes from our hotel and totally worth the visit. For $5, our family got a personal tour of the farm. We enjoyed learning about the different vegetables and herbs they were growing and got to see the animals. Our girls got to feed the donkeys and sheep and pet a bunny. We also got a tour of their aquaponics greenhouse - which is really neat! They have tons of fresh eggs, veggies, homemade lotions, soaps, tinctures, etc in the shop and we loaded up with some great stuff. I highly recommend a visit!

Farms is dedicated to sharing Texas-sized hospitality in a fun festival-style environment. We love helping families enjoy time together while establishing new seasonal traditions and learning about life on the farm.
We took a group of kids (ranging from toddler to teenagers) to Fall Days, and everyone had a blast! There was all kinds of things for the kids to do: Corn Mazes, a mini roller coaster, various other rides, a funhouse, a bouncy pad, playground, goats to pet. There was two food stations. One was BBQ while the other served hamburgers. The hamburgers were really good with a unique season blend. There was also a snack station. There were tons of photo opportunities throughout the area. The teenagers took full advantage of them. For souvenirs, there was gift shop as well as two flower patches that you could wander through. If you go early in the season, there was also a pumpkin patch, but we were at the end of the season.
