Antonelli San Marco is an organic wine and farming estate located centrally within Montefalco's DOCG winemaking area in Umbria. With a background rich in history, the Antonelli family is passionately committed to caring for their territory and dedicated to producing quality wines and extra virgin olive oil. And of late emmer wheat products, chickpeas and cured pork cuts made from their free-range pigs. Our wine-tourism extends to include apartment hospitality in the old restored farmhouse - "Casale Satriano" and nature walks through our beautiful 40 hectares of woods. In 2009 “Cucina in Cantina” was launched - a taste education programme specialising in wine tasting and cellar visits, cooking lessons, wine-pairing lunches and dinners open by reservation only. Scacciadiavoli is one of the oldest winery in the area of Montefalco. The name can be traced back to an episode of exorcism of the 17th century, reported by Johannes de Rupescissa in the Treaty on the Quintessence. The story tells about a young woman possessed by the devil, to which an exorcist give her drink the local red wine, succeeding in drive out the devil. The event gave its name to the village, still exists, appropriately called Scacciadiavoli. In the mid-nineteenth century, Prince Ugo Boncompagni Ludovisi built the winery, which is still functional and rational; From that moment, given the monumental size of the building, the site is called Localita Cantinone (large cellar). In the middle of the twentieth century, the grandfather of the current owners, Amilcare Pambuffetti, acquired ownership of the company, which covers an area of one hundred and thirty acres, of which twenty vineyards.
