This park was one of the highlights of our trip to Canada. We had been bemoaning the fact that we hadn’t seen much wildlife whilst travelling around Canada and we’d been driving around for over a month. Well... we got our wish to see some when we visited this park. It was the Thanksgiving Long weekend and we thought it would be crowded, which it definitely was, but it didn’t really matter. The 5 species of deer that roam free in the park, as well as the bison, had voracious appetites for the carrots we, and every other vehicle entering the park, had bought to feed them. They have no fear of humans and come right up to your window, often sticking their heads right in, to get your “offerings” and are extremely gentle and delicate in their acceptance. You can pat them and give them a gentle scratch while they’re chowing down. You’ll also see black wolves, arctic wolves, arctic foxes, mountain goats, a moose, coyotes and bears- cinnamon and black, though these are kept behind fences for the protection of you and your vehicles. But you still can get quite close to them. You can drive around the very large park as many times as you like. We went around twice and went through 3 large bags of carrots, and had a wonderful time doing it, with lots of great photos To remember the day. We didn’t have any kids but there are heaps of things for the little ones as well to keep them entertained all day. The time flew by and it was a shock to see we had been there for over 4 hours. If you get the chance, add this to your bucket list. Lynette

Bar Le Foyer, located in the hotel lobby, is like no other! It sits comfortably beside our six-sided fireplace and under the massive log ceiling inspired by an architect's dream. Enjoying one of our signature cocktails paired with a delicious tasting board or sipping on our Montebello 'special coffee' while reading in one of our easy chairs is better than home sweet home!
Just returned from one night at the Chateau Montebello on our way home from Tremblant. Sadly, Mother Nature was not our friend and it poured rain our whole first day. While we couldn’t do any of the amazing outdoor activities, there was lots to keep busy with inside. We enjoyed board games, puzzles and reading in some quiet little books and crannies. One of our fav activities was the adult cocktail making at the bar. Our bartender was so friendly and so much fun. I loved that there were adult activities as well as some for kids. All of the staff was friendly and very welcoming and beds and linens super comfy. Our next visit will be in the winter when we can curl up in front of the gorgeous fireplace! Can’t wait to come back.

Hubby and I try to get to Montebello once a year. It's a charming little town. We stay at Chateau Montebello but pop in to the village numerous days during our stay for dinner at one of the local establishments or to visit the Fromagerie Montebello. In the summer time Fromagerie Montebello offers a take out cheese plate that includes at least three types of their cheese, a mini baguette, some chutney, etc. It's a fantastic price and a great way to get to sample their wares. The staff have always been top notch and extremely friendly and helpful. Aside from their wonderful cheese that is made on the premises they also have a great selection of foodie items for sale hot pepper jellies, balsamic vinegars, pates, sausage, etc. You really have to check it out! We always make one last trip to the Fromagerie as we are leaving town and we stock up with their cheese to bring home for friends. Our hands down favourite is the "Adoray", a soft cow's milk cheese that has been wrapped inside a ring of spruce bark!!!! Flavours of wood shavings, spices and damp hay. It's truly wonderful and very unique. GO HERE! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!!

What a place. Walked in and the smell, heavenly . Bought a couple of things then went back to the hotel. Of course the following morning went back and bought assorted chocolates and gifts for neighbours. We would definitely go back.

We learned so much. The guide gave a super interesting tour with history of Québec and the ways of the days. Did you know that after dinner, men and women were gathering in another room together to discuss politics, as opposed to the English etiquette demanding that they be in separate rooms? It is a must do in Montebello. Also, the way to access the manoir is through the forest and it is too lovely!
