Mongolia /mɒŋˈɡoʊliə/ ( listen) (Monggol Ulus in Mongolian; Монгол Улс in Mongolian Cyrillic) is a landlocked unitary sovereign state in East Asia. Its area is roughly equivalent with the historical territory of Outer Mongolia, and that term is sometimes used to refer to the current state. It is sandwiched between China to the south and Russia to the north. Mongolia does not share a border with Kazakhstan, although only 37 kilometres (23 mi) separates them.

I have been on 2 wonderful adventures with Horse Trek Mongolia. What a fantastic team of knowledgeable, warm, caring and fun people, i felt in very safe hands. Trekking and living alongside these people, their lovely horses, the simple living in the wilderness and being so close to nature was a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. Having Julie Veloo to translate meant that we could share so much more with one another. Every day had it's own special moments. If you like to step outside the norm go for it, this is a special find and part of your payment will go to fund a project set up by the Veloo foundation which is transforming the lives of young Mongolians. What a special and memorable time!
