Moline is one of the Quad Cities, along with neighboring East Moline and Rock Island in Illinois and the cities of Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa. The Quad Cities have an estimated population of 381,342. The city is the ninth-most populated city in Illinois outside the Chicago Metropolitan Area. My family and I love to take the Channel Cat at least once a summer. It's a pleasant way to get out on the river and enjoy the scenery. The only down side is seating - since people can stay on for a full circuit, there are times when the boat is full, no one disembarks, and so you can wind up waiting for a couple of boats to arrive in order to actually be able to ride on the river. However, if you show up with flexibility in mind, your ride will be a dream.
