The cost of this tunnel was a surprise as we were blindly following satnav but the service of the staff couldn't have been better. First, a lady helpfully wrote down a different route we could take to avoid the toll. We spent 20 minutes deciding which way to go, then just as we were paying, the alarm went off meaning that there was a blockage. The man serving us kept us entertained and even shared his homemade chocolate cake with us! It turned what could have been a stressful experience into a really enjoyable interaction! Thank you tunnel staff! :)
