Stone's Throw Dinner Theater

This is a small theater which means that there are no bad seats. Every actor, director, server, ticket seller and all persons except the cook and manager are volunteers. We attend several different theaters both amateur and professional. We have been season ticket holders at Stones Throw for many years. These volunteers are as good or better than you will find anywhere off or on Broadway. The meals are always delicious and they will make adjustments for special needs. Most of the plays are comedies but the occasional drama is also well presented. If you like theater you will love STDT in Carthage, MO.

The prime rib and the chicken fried steak were both very good, and generous portions. The Tribute to George Straight was an exceptionally good show by both Gorde and Debi. Great fun and interaction with the audience.

The Shepherd of the Hills

In 1907 a Christian minister named Harold Bell Wright wrote a book that would forever change southwest Missouri. The Shepherd of the Hills became a instant best seller making Branson into a tourist destination overnight. On this historic Homestead, where he spent his summers with the Ross family, whom he based the book around, we bring to life beautiful outdoor drama that made Branson into a Christian destination. Showboat Branson Belle

Cruise on lovely Table Rock Lake on a four-deck showboat while enjoying panoramic views and breakfast, lunch or dinner accompanied by live entertainment ranging from comedy to music to acrobatics.

Reviewed By ru1390 - Fort Worth, United States

If you have limited time in Branson, this is a great attraction to enjoy. It combines a live show, a water experience and a meal for an amazing good time. Everyone on staff was so hospitable. Our group ranged in age from five years old to 63 and we all enjoyed it. Best of all it didn’t take the entire day, so we were able to do other things in the area on the same day. The show is very good and family oriented. It held the attention of even the youngest in our group. The food was good and the emcee/magician, singers and dancers were top notch. The time to stroll around the boat between acts was a great opportunity to explore the various levels of the showboat, watch the paddle wheel in action and view beautiful Table Rock Lake. For the most affordable option, buy the combo ticket that includes Silver Dollar City.

Dolly Parton's Stampede Dinner Attraction

Dinner and live entertainment featuring thirty-two horses and dozens of talented riders performing daring feats of trick riding and competition inside a huge 35,000-square-foot arena.

Reviewed By Sebbyboy - Flower Mound, United States

We were in Branson for 8 nights with our daughter and four grandsons ages 2, 4, 6 and 8 approximately. We pre-booked tickets to four shows including Dolly Parton's Stampede about 2 months out. Through a broker (no fees and extremely friendly & helpful - agent's name is Angie I recall @ 417-335-6152). Tickets (vouchers actually) delivered to our hotel before arrival. Angie helped us obtain excellent seats on row 2 at one end of the arena. Vouchers are exchanged for actual tickets at each theater. There is a pre-show but we did not arrive in time. Was told this too was excellent. Be sure to walk past the horse stalls before and/or after the show to see the beautiful horses (mostly American Quarter Horses) and a few riders/performers. This is a horse-centered show with plenty of action, speed, comedy and other animal performers (dogs and pigs namely). And friendly "competition" between two sides of the arena/audience (the South or Blue and North/Red). The live show is supplemented by stirring audio/visuals including a recorded song by Miss Dolly herself. The show is certain to entertain children of all ages and adults alike. Service is efficient and very quick once the drinks/food service are started. Tea, lemonade, coffee...Start with a delicious creamy, vegetable soup, bread then a large Cornish Game Hen, Pork Loin, Potato Wedge, Corn on the Cob and an Apple Turnover for dessert. Service was impeccable in all respects. I do not know how they serve this many people so quickly. And food is hot. Tip generously. Parking is adequate. This is a large show so expect parking crowds and an arena full of perhaps 1,000+ attendees. Three shows available daily. As with virtually all Branson attractions, photos are taken and offered for sale. Out of four pre-booked shows (plus one more booked while in Branson) - those being The Stampede, Branson Belle, Shrek, Hamner's Unblievable Variety Show and Samson, we found Stampede and Hamners to be excellent. Samson was also great according to our daughter (my wife and I did not attend this show as we watched the 2-year old). All Branson shows (and attractions, restaurants...) seem to be very family friendly with faith in God, Country and Family well emphasized. Amen!!! Beware the Branson traffic (especially on the main street that being Highway 76). Plan and get in early. Go - Enjoy the Stampede and be a Kid Again.

Dick Clark's American Band Stand Theater

Reviewed By LDE53 - Springfield, United States

We went to see the SIX show. Keven was a no show. Not sure why? The other 5 brothers performed in the same talented and entertaining way. This an a cappella group who performs with no band, and uses their voices to emulate the sounds of various instruments. A good choice for someone in the Branson area. There is not pre show entertainment and the piped music was certainly an interesting choice for Branson. Certainly not what you would expect. :=((
