Stunningly beautiful castle. Very nice exhibits. Well maintained. Excellent restaurant inside the castle.

After having imprisoned the Jews of Mir in the Mir Castle the 1st mass killing of Mir Jews took place on the 9th of November 1941.The largest of the four extermination sites in Mir is located close to the Castle. 1600 Jews were massacred there .Soviet's had built an obelisk without any mention of it being murdered Jews. The survivors installed a new memorial which you can see here in 1998.
