This walking tour is about 4 hours in total, away from the hustle and bustle of the big city Osaka. You can enjoy the seasonal nature while hiking. It is about 30 minutes from Osaka by the train on the Hankyu line. Mount Minoo a wide monumental park, “Mino Park”, which has a beautiful waterfall, “Minoo Waterfall” that has been selected as one of the best waterfalls in Japan. Around the waterfall you can enjoy various sceneries throughout the four seasons from the fresh green in spring, up until the beautiful autumn leaves in autumn. Minoo Park was designated as a quasi - national park on December 11, 1967 as one of the Meiji 100th year commemorative project. A treasure trove of natural habitats of around 1,300 kinds of plants, 3,500 insects, a lot of wild birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, fishes, etc surround the park. The special natural monument, the Japanese salamander, also inhabits the mountain area of Minoo.

What a fantastic experience! Terumi is a lovely kind host and gave us a lot of information about Japanese culture. First, we made Japanese sweet together. It was so interesting for me to mold the soft dough into a beautiful flower which we can eat with a bowl of matcha later. Afterwards, she took us a cosy Japanese room and started tea ceremony. I learned a lot of things about tea ceremony even l am Japanese. It gave us special insight into Japanese culture and tradition. Also, the house was a cosy Japanese house and it would be a good chance to see a real Japanese daily life. One of the meeting point, JR Ibaraki is a convinient location, takes just 10 minutes fro JR Osaka station and her house is close to the station. I highly recommend you to join this experience! 日本人ですがとても勉強になり素敵な体験でした。日本文化を外国人に案内されたい方にもオススメです。お茶と和菓子もとても美味しかったです。

This little museum was a precious moment to share with son after reading The Little Prince this summer. The place is special crafted and the gardens are well kept. The restaurant has delicious food. The museum has English placards. Parking is free on site.

Do you like nature? We have good place for you which is one of the greatest waterfall in Japan! You may think that Osaka is big city, but there are scenic nature as well. It’s just 30mins away from the centre of Osaka, you can feel Japanese four-seasons with colorful nature. The hiking road is almost flat so it’s also good for senior people or children. You might see wild animals such as birds, butterflies and monkeys! It takes 40mins one way on foot but you won’t be bored with talkative guide. And you will get a local snack souvenir which shaped cute maple reef. Let’s feel nature together!

5. Minoh Waterfall and nature walk through the Minoh Park
Set yourself free from the hustling and bustling streets of big cities and dip yourself in nature, refreshing both body and soul.
