The entrance on Rockford Road is closed. Construction from Rockford Road to the Recreation Building including parking lot and playground.
The walking paths and lake access is still open.
Beware the goose droppings! Even after a 4" rainfall the walks along the lake were still covered in droppings.

I always love visiting the General Store of Minnetonka. It's a good place to shop for unique gifts, kitchen gadgets, nostalgic games, jewelry, and lots of other goodies. Adding the bistro was brilliant--the food offerings are good, but priced a little high. I usually forego the expensive desserts for one of their giant popovers with a bowl of soup. Allow at least an hour to cover the first and second floor and add additional time for a bite to eat. Parking is easy and free.

Our third trip. Great for the grandkids. Performances are entertaining. The price is right. The lenght is perfect for the kids. Audience is respectful but very child friendly. Free parking across the street. We'll be back for another show.

We were given a gift of a private pottery class for the two of us. We love trying new things and this was right up our alley. Ralph was our instructor. He’s both an excellent pottery artist and a terrific teacher. We’re actually quite surprised and delighted with how our projects turned out!

The Wayzata Depot is the home of the Wayzata Historical Society's display about the Great Northern Railroad featuring the conflicts of Wayzata with the robber baron James J. Hill. Lots of train memorabilia.
Also has a terrific model train display that has villages, topographic features and three different trains running on a complex rail circuit.
The dock at the museum is where the Minnesota Transportation Museum's fully restored streetcar boat Minnehaha stops during its tours of Lake Minnetonka. You purchase tickets and board the Minnehaha in Excelsior MN.
During the summer months there are weekly community concerts in the formal garden area.

Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is the nation’s largest Equity (professional status) dinner theatre company featuring multiple stages under one roof. In addition, CDT is Minnesota’s only year-round musical theatre and the largest tourist attraction in Carver County. Founded in 1968, Chanhassen is a producing theatre, completely creating and executing all production elements in the theatres’ own on-site scene, costume and properties shops by its own creative design team led by Resident Artistic Director Michael Brindisi.
We have been going since 1973. It might be personal preference but there are some plays that are better than others. But the Acting is 100% entertaining! Every show the actors interact with the audiences. The closer you sit to center stage the more of a chance you'll be part of the show. Four stars is for the food. It's always a good idea to ask the server what he or she might recommend. Our Chicken was over cooked but the steaks and fish were spot on. The can beer was out dated. Water glasses never go dry.
Sister Act production was amazing. The play is a rewrite from the original movie but the story line was the same with different songs.
Photo and video is a mortal sin but asked before the show if your guest is evolved in the show if you can take picture of your friend/family member.

Ridgedale Mall was recently expanded and now features a much larger Nordstrom, Apple Store and many more. Great place to hang out with friends, grab a bite and shop. Very family friendly, play areas for toddlers and younger kids. Ample parking and good food and shop variety. Great place to visit in hot or cold days in Minnesota.

This is a great neighborhood place. Free popcorn, a nice big outdoor seating area and you can bring your own food! (Chipotle right around the corner!) I like wheat beer, which they don't always have, but I can usually find something. They also brew their own root beer and have root beer floats.

Main thoroughfare where many shops, restaurants, cafes, theaters and a center for the arts are located.
Very pretty area to walk around with a lot of antique shops and other cool "mom and pop" shops. Lots of interesting architecture as well.
