Miller Place is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, New York, United States, on the North Shore of Long Island. Miller Place has been inhabited since the 17th century and is named for the Miller family that included many of its initial settlers. For most of its history, the community functioned as an agriculture-based society. Despite preserving much of its historic identity, changes in the 20th century have transitioned the hamlet into a desirable and densely populated suburban area. The population was 12,339 at the 2010 census.

Okay, I get it. If you want to get to CT from middle Long Island, then this is the way to go. The Orient Point Ferry takes you to New London, which is much further North and Bridgeport.
And I guess you could award it "Excellence" because it always stays on top of the water. But, the ferries are dated inside, uncomfortable seats, smelly rest rooms, VERY unhealthy food, liquor, wine and beer (not the best idea for people who are driving)and the worse part NO INTERNET. I mean, come on, how hard would it be to provide WiFi on these boats? So, Yeah, I will continue to use it because I have no choice. And perhaps the issues I described above will remain because the Steamboat Company knows there is no competition. So why bother?

I first visited Benner's Farm 27 years ago. I brought my daughter to a mommy and me there. We would return spring summer and fall to learn about this awesome place. All three of my children have gone to classes, summer camp and even had birthday parties there. I will visit again soon bringing my grand niece.
If you live in the area don't miss this place.

Cedar has always been my favorite north shore beach. It always feels like that even if it's crowded, like July 4th, there is still plenty of space on the beach. It's great for younger kids because there usually isn't a strong undertow. Most of the time everyone's polite, friendly, and neat.

Do you have what it takes to Escape the Room in 60 minutes?!
Our family of four just escaped the Hidden Temple Room! What a fantastic time we had. The room was challenging, but not impossible. Our GameMaster Brandon was helpful and enthusiastic. He really made our day special. Also, Zach was super friendly when booking. Can't wait to go back and try another room. Thanks guys!

A great place to relax but you need to go early to secure a table or bring your own folding chair. Don't go for the food though, its very basic and slightly expensive. There is a fishing store attached for grab and go fishing things like bait.

Family Owned and operated. Po'Boy Brewery features handcrafted Artisanal beers and hard ciders and is one of the few in the county that is licensed by the state & Federal government to serve both in the same location. We have 8 taps for you to enjoy and live music on the weekends. We also offer beer educational brewing classes, tasting parties and private events by appointment only. Cheers!

You have an Hour to Escape - solve our puzzles, codes, and riddles and find the hidden objects and clues. Two games for players of all skill levels. Do you have what it takes?
It was a great experience and very kid friendly. The owner was super nice. I will be going back. The room was just the right amount of challenging, and everyone was jumping around trying to solve the clues. So much fun!!

Nice indoor playground with a large space for kids to run around, which is a rarity. Nice also that parents can join their kids on the equipment. However, the place shows its age - pieces of tape cover spots in the carpet - and in some cases, some areas are unsafe. The big slide in the back has an opening toward the wall, in which a kid can - and did - fall out that way. The "fencing" around the little play area has legs which a kid can trip over, among other concerns. Still, the price is right, and my kid loves it here - we'll continue to go, but we'll keep a close eye on our kid.
