"Hailed as the Southwest's most famous dirt track, Devil's Bowl Speedway is the premier venue for racing entertainment. A high banked half-mile with tacky black clay, the track is a unique D shape with the curve on the back straight fifteen feet higher than the front. This purposely designed aspect gives the 10,000 seats in the grandstands an unobstructed view of the entire track. Among those seats are 1,000 reserved seats located on the finish line, another 1,500 upper deck reserved seats available for special events and six air conditioned suites located on the third floor of the tower that can be rented which hold up to 10 people."

The Mesquite Symphony Orchestra is the resident orchestra of the Mesquite Arts Center. We present live, concert music to the Mesquite community and beyond. For over 30 years, the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra has been providing access to live music for the community. Join your symphony orchestra for live music!

The Opal Lawrence Historical Park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a Recorded Texas Historical Landmark, and recognized as a Century Family Farm by the Texas Department of Agriculture. The home, which is considered Texas prairie vernacular styling, is basically in the same condition as it was originally built, with few modifications over the years. Outbuildings include a smokehouse, brick-lined root cellar, a wash house, large livestock barn (also built by Mr. Florrer in 1887) and mule barn. Assorted chicken coops also still are intact. The farmstead complex is representative of the evolution of domestic buildings from the 1870s to the late 20th century on the North Texas plains and blackland prairie. Lawrence family members continually resided at the home until November 1995.
