The name Merrick is taken from Meroke, the name (meaning peaceful) of the Algonquian tribe formerly indigenous to the area. It is served by the Merrick station on the Long Island Rail Road on the Babylon line.

S&G is amazing, very professional and affordable, use them all the time. Drivers are great they are professional and very accommodating, open the doors help with luggage and most important always on time! The reservation team is amazing, friendly, professional and very helpful..if your looking for a ride to the airport or just a night out on the town, I highly recommend this company since I have used them for both!!

Back in February we needed a taxi for a party of 5 to go from my house in north merrick to JFK airport so i Google searched the top rated taxi company in merrick and decided to use merrick taxi and airport service! Their prices are double they price of uber or lyft but the service level is easily three times higher than yellow cabs, taxi apps or even "black car services"! Merrick taxi and airport service is the true definition of a black car service sending me a black car, professional driver and prompt service. The owner and management are also very accommodating, helping us install our own car seats into their black Chevrolet suburban SUV on both my inbound and outbound taxi ride! All in all great service. Conveniently located, and user friendly!
