Memphis is a pilgrimage for those wanting to visit the birthplace of the blues, of soul and of rock 'n' roll. On Beale Street, W.C. Handy put down on paper the first written blues music. Elvis, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash all recorded at the historic Sun Records, which is now a museum. Graceland, the second most-visited home in America, welcomes visitors from around the world who yearn for a peek into the life of "the King." Beyond the music, Tennessee's largest city also offers much more. It has more sunny days each year than Miami, and combines southern tradition and hospitality with modern amenities. You'll enjoy great dining (be sure to sample the barbecued ribs), art galleries and exciting nightlife.

We’ve been a few years in a row and seeing this has become a new Christmas tradition. A great classic that comes to life on a live stage. It has never disappointed and this year was excellent. Look forward to their renovations and reopening in the fall.

Concert - Peter Cincotti for his new album release. Great set of songs. The concert had a lot of energy with great music. I haven't seen anyone play like that in a long, long time. Show included a lot of music from his newest album - Long Way From Home - a must add to any collection. Halloran - Fantastic small venue with very roomy seats, which was a pleasant surprise!! I am a veteran who happened to get my tickets via Vettix.org. And without those tickets I probably wouldn't have gone, but was so glad I did. Best evening of music for me in 2017!! One thing - make sure you carry cash for some of these events - at the end of this show you needed cash to get the album.

Beautiful theater holds musical and stage performances.
We were in Memphis to see the Beach Boys. We had not been to the Orpheum in many years. It is a beautiful building and has been updated and well kept. Long ago the rows were so close together that it was difficult to even get down them, but that problem has been fixed. Great sound system, good drinks, friendly people, and close to several hotels. Many folks simply walked to the show and back to their hotel We would go to another show there!!

Been here several times traveling from SC. When we got married in Memphis on January 3rd, we knew we had to revisit for a celebration. Our favorite place to hear the blues! A small music spot on Beale to hear some of the very best bluesy bands. Vince Johnson is our fav!

We saw Peter Pan here with our grandchildren while we were visiting in the Memphis area over the holidays. We’re experienced theater goers and especially attuned to local theater productions. This one was very well done. The theater was lovely. Our seats were up in the balcony but still provided great visibility of the stage. Sound was top notch. To the youngest in our crew, it was magical.
