Made me feel the Christmas innocence of being a kid again. I felt like I was whisked off to the sparkle and wonder of a time where everything is right with the world and where I could just stare at the store window displays for hours. The owners and all who work there play into this magic with their overflowing joy and enthusiasm of the magical Christmas spirit. Was surprised I hadn't known about this place.

This is a wonderful park, as are all parks in the Medina County Park system. There is a wide variety of things to do - hiking, of course, through Buckeye Woods as well as the adjoining Schleman Reserve which has great trees including one of the largest Burr Oaks in the state, At the north end of the park is an expansive wetland area where one can see all kinds of waterfowl - geese, wood ducks, herons etc. In the center there are athletic fields, playgrounds, a fishing spot on the lake. To the south is a long trail that parallels Chippewa Inlet. Many of the hiking trails do double duty as beautifully maintained bike paths. The park is a botanist's paradise with a colorful and ever-changing display of indigenous wildflowers.

Only negative, the girl taking the money could have been more friendly. At least put a smile on her face. Perhaps she was having a bad day.
