Dance Free is my favorite place for Spanish-English language exchanges and dance classes. They have amazing teachers and staff who are super friendly and energetic. The language exchanges are so much fun! I love that I get to meet people from different parts of the world. Their Salsa and Bachata dance classes are the best. I’ve learned so many cool moves! Thank you so much Dance Free!!

¡Come and get a bit of our latin swing! Have a great time learning to dance in private or group lessons. We got many rhythms to offer: salsa, bachata, porro, merengue, vallenato, reggaeton, kizomba, tango, belly dance. Get the best of our methodology, even at home service if you want to.
I stayed in Medellin with my friends for a month and we wanted to do something fun, so we signed up for weekly classes. It was the highlight of our trip! Cata was incredibly accommodating to us, even arranging for additional instructors to assist us with the discrepancies between salsa experience in our group, and providing partners for us when we had unequal numbers. She was also very responsive via text or phone call. She teaches in English or Spanish and breaks the moves down in a way that is very easy to learn. We have taken salsa classes from several other schools and the consensus amongst all my friends is that Cata's are by far the best, and also very affordable! Cata also arranges practice nights both in the studio and at salsa clubs. My only regret is that I could not stay in Medellin longer to take more classes and will certainly go back if/when I return to Medellin!

We are a group of salsa instructors working as independents. We created Salsa Classes Medellin as a community to help new comers to the city of Medellin find competent instructors for a minimal price. We connect students with independent local instructors via Facebook. We handpick the teachers based on the student's preferences and budget. Instructors are preselected by their peers based on the quality of their teaching. Don't have time to take a bunch of classes? Book our 1 day Dance BootCamp including up to 5 hours of dance instruction, visit training with a professional dance troup, and enjoy a guided night out with your instructor to practice what you learned!
I had private classes with Paola for about a month. She’s a wonderful teacher with great energy and makes sure that you understand steps before moving on to the next ones. If you’re looking for a passionate teacher with a deep knowledge of salsa and it’s various styles, work with Paola!

We are the only school in Colombia with an interactive culturally designed Spanish program. The classroom experience is just a small part of the whole experience, NOT the core!.

Unlimited one-on-one, in-person Spanish classes with professional teachers. Free access to our online classes included. All in the heart of the most beautiful neighborhood of Medellin, Laureles. For less than you’d pay for 20 hours a week of group classes at other schools, you can have as many private classes as you want. Free artisanal coffee and tea.
Ahead of moving to Mexico, I wanted (and needed!) to take an intensive Spanish course - Baselang ended up being the perfect place for this. I took the Grammerless course which promises "zero to conversational in 30 days" - and it delivers. I was blown away by the caliber of teachers and how, with their methods and support, I was able to progress so much faster than I expected. Not only were my classes practical and useful; they were really enjoyable. Through the teachers at Baselang I fell in love with Spanish and the process of learning it. All the teachers are charismatic, interesting and well-qualified - we talked about real world topics and they help you learn Spanish in a natural way, rather than just focusing on repetitive verb conjugations! Since leaving Medellin I've continued Spanish classes with other schools/teachers and I can confirm that Baselang is a gem in terms of language schools. I've not come across teachers or a learning environment that is nearly as inspiring as Baselang's Medellin school. I highly recommend classes at Baselang, if I could return I would!
