As I live in the northern end of Medellin for the better part of 3 years it is not often that I am this far south in the Aburrá Valley but after my visit last night to the Habanos Point cigar lounge I am now impelled to travel to the south of Medellin more often. First, as others have commented, the host/waiter Luis is well suited for insuring that your visit to the lounge will be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. He speaks great English and is not only knowledgeable about cigars and his recommendations but also an interesting person to converse with. I do not smoke as often as I have in the past however I have toured the Pantagas cigar factory in Havana Cuba a few years ago so my smoke selection of the Pantagas Serie D No. 4 was an easy choice and as it turned out just a great smoke from this Cuban classic of a strong and full bodied, exploring aromas of wood and spice in equal doses. Considering this is a very comfortable cigar lounge located in the heart of Poblado (a few blocks over from Park Lleras) the price of my Pantagas Serie D No. 4 was 70,000 pesos or roughly $21.00 USD about the same that I sue to pay at my favorite Cuban cigar lounge in Tijuana Baja California/Mexico which was my go-to lounge back between 1999 to 2016. The cigar was perfectly rolled and the burn was even and without hot spots or compressed spots, simply a slow long burn and the flavor and tastes from it were completely satisfying. A testament to the Pantagas brand and quality control. I have included a few photos from my visit. They close at 11 PM or at least this was the closing time last night, a Friday evening and I was the last customer out of the door. Without hesitation I can recommend this cigar lounge and I will return. I see this as a great get away spot to enjoy fine Cuban cigars accompanied with a drink and spend a few hours watching a sports game. This 5 Star rating that I gave was well earned because of the service, price, value and enjoyment.

La Cava is the best cigar bar in town. Habanos doesn’t have a good humidor and doesn’t care if you have a bad cigar.
