Daraja la Mungu/God’s Bridge/Natural Bridge - as the name suggests it made by the best engineer “Nature”! How to get here: 1. Hire a car and guide 2. Public Transportation: *Mbeya* take a bus/daladala from town/Mbeya Central bus station to Nanenane bus station - bus fare 400 tsh (outside of town) from there take a bus going to Kyela or Tukuyu ask to be drop off in KK - bus fare 3,000 tsh. If you don’t want to wait, you can take a bus that goes to Uyole then from Uyole catch the same bus Tukuyu or Kyela - same fare less waiting time. From KK - hire a pikipiki/boda-boda/motorcycle for 6,000 tsh some may charge a little bit more just make sure to tell them to wait for you. Daraja la Mungu is about 9km from KK - a perfect distance for a good walk, be warned though the road is quite busy pikipiki, cars, & delivery trucks. Fee: $5 - but they only accept Tanzanian shillings 11,500 tsh Tips: 1. Start the bottom view of the bridge then go up, walk on it and go to the Opposite - a bridge made by Russians (failed hydraulic project) to view the Daraja la Mungu in a different angle. 2. Kijungu Falls/Cooking pot is in the same area you can do both but you need to pay a separate fee ($5). You will pass through the military base/school-taking photos within the military area is prohibited. You will pass 3 security post and one of them might ask you to present a passport. After the last military post is the village - in a small shop a government representative collects the fee and will issue a receipt complete with your name. 3. If you’re a solo traveler it’s best to hire a guide and make Tukuyu as your base. David - is an honest guide and will make sure to negotiate the best price for pikipiki/boda-boda. He can either take you using a public transport or a private car. He charges 20,000 tsh per attraction site. He will also recommend a safe accommodation according to your preference. You can reach him through this number +255 784 293 042. 4. Accommodation: Basic - Igubike Guest House - close to the bus station 15,000 tsh for a self-contain room (squat toilet, bucket shower-they will prepare hot water for you - just ask) Western - Landmark hotel - ranges from 50,000 to 80,000 - I’ve checked their single and twin room - spacious, contrary to the old reviews, I can confirm, both rooms has running water and outside the room you will find the switch for hot water. Their restaurant only serves instant coffee -2,000 tsh (NOT REAL COFFEE!) DM Motel - is also good according to David.
