The Maule Region (Spanish: VII Región del Maule, pronounced [ˈmau̯.le]) is one of Chile's 15 first order administrative divisions. Its capital is Talca. The region derives its name from the Maule River which, running westward from the Andes, bisects the region and spans a basin of about 20,600 km. The Maule river is of considerable historic interest because, among other reasons, it marked the southern limits of the Inca Empire.

Located in the Maule Valley of Chile, the Balduzzi family started in the Italian Piedmont their tradition of wine making. Excellence from the vine to the wine. You can't miss your chance of walking through the vineyards, visiting our colonial winery that outlived the earthquake of 2010, and of course, tasting our wines. We have guided tours either in Spanish or English from Monday thru Saturday 9am-6pm. No reservation needed.
Just to let all the wine enthusiasts know that if you are ever in Talca/ Maule region, go and taste some wines at Balduzzi (4 for 4.5k pesos). Very friendly place. Enjoy!

Beautiful Lagoon, located in the Maule Region, to get there you have to drive for about 2 hours from Linares or 2 hours 30 minutes from Talca, once you get there you will find this beautiful turquoise ice-cold lagoon between the mountains, if you are lucky enough you will find snowy mountains,It is advisable to take food and water, because up there there's nothing else besides nature.
Hello! I went to Termas del médano, you can get there by car or by bus going through the international route Ch-115. You have to take the bus in the bus station of Talca. I went there in winter (august), so at that time the Laguna del Maule was closed because of the snow on the road. But I could get to the Waterfall that is located like 20 meters high and the weird thing is this waterfall goes up because of the wind. Unfortunately when I went it did not happen. Probably for the season. The weekend that I spent there I stayed in Termas del médano in a small cabin with a kitchen, bathroom, two beds. Perfect for me and my partner. In the tourist complex you can enjoy of thermal waters and also natural steambaths, coming from the ground. I totally recomend San Clemente as the commune and the places that I visited. You should bring cash with you because once you get in to the mountains there are no ATM. Also the best time to go is Summer (December to February) Good luck in your trip!
