Dwarkadhish Temple

Reviewed By EinCDuffy - Tampa, United States

I feel so lucky to have experienced celebrating Holi at the birthplace of Krishna in Mathura. I am a female and went here with two female friends and we were fine. We were never touched inappropriately as I have read from a few others. We only attended from 9:45am to 11am, so it may be that we got out before everyone got drunk. There were a few other females in attendance as well. The temple floors were covered in chalk and water from the water balloons. There was plenty of singing and dancing set by a few men in the center who were on a raised platform. It was amazing to be a part of this.

Govardhan is an extremely beautiful place where you can immersed in the bhakti of krishna/Giriraaj.I did the parikrama this year in the month of December.Initially i was scared whether i will be able to complete 21km or not but gradually when I saw little kids who were doing sastang dandabad parikrama,i felt that atleast i can simply walk and complete the circumference.Nowadays,on the way you will get enough eateries and also many public toilets. Also the e rickshaws are availabe if incase you feel you are not feeling well.Interestingly,if you complete the circumference all your prayers are answered.Gobardhan is Kalpataru dham.Do visit and offer prayers!

Elephant Conservation & Care Center

Reviewed By A2B20

I’m from Canada and have been following wildlife’s organization on Instagram for a while. Their work is inspiring and so needed. So few people want to know the story of the elephants in India, and it’s a sad history. Wildlife SOS is trying to change that with information, tours, on site vets, hospitals, all the things they can do to provide a safe environment for the harmed animals and educate their country and the tourists who come. I wish more people could be like you and us who believe in your work. Please keep on fighting, thank you for all you do. Anyone who wants to see elephants in India and doesn’t support animal abuse should come to support this organization and visit their healing elephants.
