From the peak are visible the Matale and Alawathugoda town and the mountain ranges that surround a good part of the Matale District, namely Wilshire , Hunnasgiriya, Elkaduwa, Brandy rock Etipola, Muwagala, Ankumbura, Bahirawa kanda (Kandy), Bible rock (Pilimathalawa), Riverton and Owilikanda ranges. Trekking (06km) maximum time taken for this is around 02 – 04 hours (Depend on the tourist). Pick up from Kandy at arround 07 am and depart to Knuckles Mountain Range via Mahiyanganaya and undertake a trek where you can have a scenic view of Sri Lankan rural villages. You will spend your night in a mobile tented camp with our trekking guide. Next day morning you will wake up with birds natural alarm and you will be return to Kandy via Kandy village rice fields.Finally you will ended up your trekking in Kandy and you will be drop at Kandy at 6 pm.

You will be transferred from Kandy 22 kms on Mahinyangana road and then another 18 kms inland by a van where you will be starting the trek through home spice gardens, vegetable fields, rice fields, tea plantation, pigmy forests and plateaus. The trek is approximately about 8 kms one way and its 16 kms in total. At the end of the trail you would be able to swim at a base of a nice waterfall. You are expected to encounter with species such as Deer, Barking deer, Deer monkey and various types of Lizards. In this trek you will be climbing from 1200 ft to 1850 ft. On the way back you will be able to do some bird watching.
