Private Collection of Vintage & Veteran Cars, motorcycles & automobilia displayed to resemble a 1930's country garage. This includes an extensive collection of garage equipment, signs, tools & manuals. All vehicles on display are in driveable condition. An extensive collection of original period clothing (1870 - 1970) is rotated every 3 months & the displays are changed accordingly - this includes wedding gowns, evening gowns, daywear, accessories etc. All visitors are greeted & taken on a tour of the complex - which also includes gardens & craft shop.
Not just about vintage cars. More the wile range of tools and memorabilia from the period. Well worth visiting and if you have a guided tour with the Pointon’s then all the better.

This is our favourite vineyard and we have been visiting on a regular basis for the last six years. The team here produce some fabulous wines, which we are proud to serve to guests - if there are any left in the cupboard. The Johner staff are so welcoming and almost feel like family when we visit. Their on-line ordering and delivery service was a life-saver during lock down - well sanity saver anyway. Take the back road to Johner - you will not regret it.

We love coming to this place for a meal on the weekends and stay a week at a time, great for wine and for a few beers. The club is where the locals hang out, and although it's a small community, they are friendly and will make you feel welcome if you're out visiting the beach community of Riversdale. The shop is very helpful and have great coffee and fish and chips and great burgers etc. nice people come see all of us!!! And if you're a part-time resident like we are, you'll come to count on this place as being one of the social hubs of the village. They do meals on a Friday night, decent roasts, steaks or fish & chips. Nothing fancy, but out here that's all you want and all you need. That and a handle of beer or two...

Went there for a tasting last Saturday. 20 minutes from Masterton, signposted from SH2, Very friendly welcome and excellent tasting. Quiet at moment but quite a small tasting room so might get busy in summer. Great selection of wines and at reasonable prices. You'll see their wines in a lot of restaurants and bars around Masterton. Definitely would recommend.

There are many day and overnight treks.Main carpark is usually full by 9am but there is still plenty of parking and camping areas. The Atiwhakatu trek is Awesome trek 6 hrs return moderate pace. Uphill through native bush but it does level out in places.Boardwalks and swing bridges , stairs. slushy areas after rain.Take good footwear and layer the clothing as weather can change.Toilets at hut but bring toilet paper and liquid to drink. Overall track is very good.Toilets at car park area as well. The Gentle Annie trek and rock lookout is worth the extra hour climb. There are many other tracks and huts to test your fitness.

We have just spent the weekend of Toast Martinborough at this wonderful destination. The hosts were so accommodating, they drove us down to the bus in the morning and picked us up in the afternoon. They are welcoming and friendly and it was like a peaceful haven away from the madding crowd. Thanks for being great hosts in a beautiful environment.Congratulations Peter and Karen. Keep it up!!
