This park includes so much for families, friends or couples to do. The campground is excellent with both wooded and waterfront sites for trailers or motor homes. There are also cabins to rent. The beach is gorgeous and under utilized so you can have a practically private place to swim. There's a picnic pavilion to rent for parties or reunions. You can visit the Eugene Nicandri Nature Center for a first class experience or the McCullough Visitors Center for an explanation of how the seaway was built. Another stop is the Eisenhower Lock to watch ships pass from the Atlantic to the Great Lakes. So much to do and very little if any cost. Everyone should come up to see this. It's less than a 2 hr drive north of the 1000 Islands.

Because the visitor center was closed for the season(in Sept.-how's that)we had to watch ship going thru the locks from the overlook. We were very fortunate to see a large cargo ship go thru the locks plus a tub boat. The legend that was at the overlook helped us understand the process.

This is a wonderful and very educational learning center. They have free postcards to send out to friends in the brochure rack. They also do movie time for kids so if you have young ones call to find out when the next movie is. They also have many hands on exhibits to show how electricity works. The woman at the desk was very cheery. I say try the bicycle were you peddle to see how much electricity you can generate. Great vies of the water and to see Canada.

Massena Nature Center

The Nature Center was always a hit with our kids. The Center burned several years ago and the kids are grown, but we wanted to see the new building. It's magnificent! Walking in the door you are warmly greeted and then drawn to the impressive, stylish fresh water aquarium with a nice variety of native fish and turtles. The exhibit room has a nice variety of displays, many are hands on. The bees that were a mainstay of the former building will be back shortly. The Nature paths are still there. And they still have snow shoes and cross country skis for the colder months.

This course is a bargain for twice the price I paid.... The back nine plays around and even over the St. Lawrence Seaway. Very Picturesque.. !
The greenskeepers do a wonderful job of keeping the place in tip-top shape. The course, though not difficult is plenty challenging for the average golfer.
More than that... the people are friendly and the restaurant is excellent.
Try it, you will not be disappointed ...

Timequest Mini Golf

Reviewed By Bohlcore - Potsdam, New York

Recently had a birthday party at TimeQuest for a 12 year old. The boys had a great time working around one of the two mini-golf courses. Everything was in decent condition with a nice variety of holes. The folks who run the place were very friendly. When we called to let them know we were going to have our party there, they kindly reminded us to have a back up plan in case of bad weather. They have a great indoor area and a selection of movies that they can play when the kids are eating. They were very accommodating. They have a Facebook page where they post their hours, if they have to close early due to weather, etc.

I visit my parents in Massena twice a year. This mall has appeared to be on the brink of closing for more than 10 years. Every time I visit more stores are closed. JC Penney's and Bonton's seem be the only anchors. Wendi's is the only restaurant open. The skating rink is now closed due to technical problems. I feel like I am visiting the mall after a massive economic depression or something. The only positive is that sometimes you can find some significantly discounted items. We will see if they can hold on and develop a plan to revitalize this center.
