Maryland is known as “America in Miniature” because of its great variations in topography and culture. This makes it a perfect east coat travel destination for those who would like to experience a little bit of everything. From amusement parks, to beaches, to mountains and historical sites, there is plenty to see and do. Each region of Maryland provides its own unique and fun activities to do. If you're headed for some fun in the sun in Ocean City on its eastern coast, be sure not to miss the Ocean City Beach, the Boardwalk, or Trimper's Rides and Amusement Park for an all-ages fun experience. Central Maryland is home to a Six Flags theme park, the Annapolis Golf Club, and countless hubs of art and culture such as the African Art Museum and Annapolis Opera, Inc. Heading to western Maryland? It is perfect for lovers of nature and the outdoors, with the Washington Monument State Park, Wisp Resort ski slopes, and the spectacular Muddy Creek Falls.

I have never been to a more cozy library. I would like to move in! Very helpful staff in a beautiful environment. Clean. Porch rocking chair seating overlooking the woods. Online computers available with library card.

As a retired library supervisor it is always nice to step into other library world's. The Ocean City Library is an amazing world to visit ( as mine was a small town traditional). The administration keeps it's finger on the pulse of the future from print titles, digital magazines, to video crafts and classes and a full calendar of interesting events. I am also amazed that they've discontinued fines to encourage more use of their offerings. The O C Library has opened a whole new world.

We stopped by to get a recommendation for dinner from a local expert. The visitors center had some great museum level exhibits of Frederick along with lots of information on the city and surrounding area. We were also recommended to visit the Market and Patrick streets area for some of Frederick’s great restaurants.

Been around forever. The smallest library in the county. A true library for kids (and their parents). If you have small children; this should be on your radar.

A great rainy-day attraction near Wallops Island, the center conducts launches of its model rockets.
We were headed north from DC to Baltimore and noticed this was on the way and decided to stop. We were glad we did, as it’s a nice visitor center with super friendly staff. It’s not very big but is free and has some great displays. I wish they would let you visit more of Goddard than just the visitor center.

This public library is one-block long.
Beautiful building, wonderful library and collection. If you are a resident of Maryland you may become a member and enjoy borrowing books online.
