Maryland is known as “America in Miniature” because of its great variations in topography and culture. This makes it a perfect east coat travel destination for those who would like to experience a little bit of everything. From amusement parks, to beaches, to mountains and historical sites, there is plenty to see and do. Each region of Maryland provides its own unique and fun activities to do. If you're headed for some fun in the sun in Ocean City on its eastern coast, be sure not to miss the Ocean City Beach, the Boardwalk, or Trimper's Rides and Amusement Park for an all-ages fun experience. Central Maryland is home to a Six Flags theme park, the Annapolis Golf Club, and countless hubs of art and culture such as the African Art Museum and Annapolis Opera, Inc. Heading to western Maryland? It is perfect for lovers of nature and the outdoors, with the Washington Monument State Park, Wisp Resort ski slopes, and the spectacular Muddy Creek Falls.

Awesome lake and accommodations. Great to boat on and jump in the water for a fresh swim. We rent vacation homes and never had a problem with any of them. I've been going there for many years and will be going back for more.

A great spot for water skiing, boating, hiking and swimming.
It was 10 of us decided to discover the Deep Creek State Park while appreciating falls foliage. The route driving inside the park with tree and foliages on both sides, we couldn’t help but to stop in the middle of the route for some photo shoots. A place to remember. Definitely will consider to visit this state park again.

Known for its excellent trout fishing, the topography of this scenic park includes tidal marshes and wetlands to steep, rugged slopes.
Seriously - just got back from the beach in NC, so I’m picky about beaches, and this was a pretty good beach fix for 20 minutes from home. Nice clean bathhouse with a snack bar and a sandy beach. Water was delightful - warm and relatively clean. There were trees with good shade and picnic tables right behind the beach. I don’t think I could handle the weekend crowds, but the two weekdays I’ve been there have been really pleasant!

One of our favorite spots in Annapolis. Whether you go during they day to watch the large yachts turn around or sit there by night with all the glowing lights surrounding the alley, it's nice area to just sit and relax. There is plenty of seating around the entire alley. You can enjoy lunch or an ice cream cone at night and listen to live music. It's the perfect backdrop for selfies!

A gentle stream that winds through 22 miles of beautiful scenery and past sites steeped in historical significance; a pleasurable trip for paddlers and other sightseers.
Antietam Creek is now my favorite place to kayak. It takes us about 4 hours to go from Devil’s Backbone to Burnside Bridge. There are a few challenging areas to maneuver through, which keeps the trip exciting. I wouldn’t take a beginner there unless they have a guide. It’s so peaceful and beautiful, and lots of wildlife! Weekdays are best, weekends can get crowded with tubers. We’ve seen a Barred Owl (!!), beavers, Bald Eagles, Great Blue Herons, and numerous birds, deer. Serenity at it’s best!!

A really nice park and lake in the middle of a densely populated suburban area. I love Lake Needwood and the surrounding area. Fishing is so-so, but the area is beautiful.
