Rebellion Beer Co. Ltd.

With a busy shop, membership club and monthly tour nights we are well worth a visit. Rebellion started brewing in 1993 in a small industrial unit in Marlow Bottom. In 1999 we moved to Bencombe Farm at the entrance to Marlow Bottom. We currently produce approximately 70,000 pints per week and you can find our beers in over 400 local pubs and clubs within a 30-mile radius of Marlow, in our brewery shop or in several local supermarkets and off-licenses. We have a busy brewery shop, selling our fresh beer in containers from 1 litre to 72 pints as well as over 300 varieties of wine and other local produce. Feel free to visit and have a browse...

All Saints Church

Reviewed By 492DaveP - Portsmouth, United Kingdom

All Saints Church dominates the town of Marlow when entering via the historic Marlow Suspension Bridge (the latter constructed in 1860 at a total cost of £22,000). This (CoE) church was originally built around or before the 1100s, but completely demolished – the main reason being constant flooding of the Thames River – and replaced in 1832 by the Gothic-style church still there today. Featuring beautiful Victorian stained glass windows and an impressive Willis organ dating back to 1876, the church has for centuries been an historically prominent component of the town’s fabric. Points of interest include wall monuments, the oldest to William and Ketheryne Willoughby and family, d. 1597. Definitely recommend a visit.

Marlow Bridge

Reviewed By Cat_C1310 - Marlow, United Kingdom

Marlow bridge is a beautiful structure, even more special due to its age and use. It’s best viewed from the tow path in Higginson Park or from the Lock on Mill road at sunset or dawn. It is twinned with it’s larger sister in Budapest crossing the river Danube, yet is still gloriously celebrated and fiercely protected by all Marlovians. The bridge, for many locals, holds memories of New Year’s Eve celebrations when the traffic across the bridge is suspended and the majority of the town attend to watch the fireworks set off from up the Thames. Many Marlovians, in years past, would celebrate receiving their exam result by jumping off Marlow bridge and many have enjoyed numerous hours rowing under it, to turn by the wier and head back to the Rowing Club (where Olympic gold medalists Steve Redgrave, Niomi Riches and Katherine Grainger famously started their professional rowing careers.) What with its history, age and sheer beauty, Marlow Bridge is a must see, either at night or during the day. You can watch the towers, the visitors to Higginson Park, the river traffic and of course, nosey at any weddings happening at the Complete Angler or All Saints church.
