I've been to this falls many times, but lately the trail has become much more eroded so that the hike is almost a climb in some places. The falls is still beautiful and spectacular, though.

Easily one of the most beautiful places you will see in South Carolina, this park, with a roaring Saluda River going through the middle of it is one of my favorites. Rainbow falls - 100ft waterfall that hits the ground with such force as to create a fine mist, which creates a rainbow. Falls Creek Falls, a 100 ft cascade - but you definitely climb for that one. Jones Gap Falls - a 50 ft cascade. Raven Cliff Falls - the highest in South Carolina! These and oh so many more can all be reached from trails that start in Jones Gap. Highly Recommend. PS: if camping, bring a bear canister or hang your food. I never saw any (we hung ours) but had a neighbor that did ( he did not).
