Kalvarija is a hill in the city of Maribor. It's 375 meters high and it has the church of Saint Barbara on the top. There is a great view over Maribor from the top of the hill, but the main attraction(and challenge)are the stairs with 455 stone steps that will take you to the top of the hill from the property where the Biotechnical School Maribor is located.

We offer you a tour with a traditional timber raft along the river Drava. The tour starts in Koblar Bay and goes all the way to the Lent, which was in the olden days a big port for timber rafts. We will tell you all about the history of timber rafting and about the tough life of timber rafting workers on river Drava. We will make the tour joyfull with our fun program, traditional music and a special procession of baptise. With all of this we will not left anyone hungry or thirsty. We will offer you the biggest pearl of the wine land of Styria. We will pamper you with a quality and noble drop of wine and serve you a domestic Slovenian cuisine.

Explore the meandering Drava River and Maribor’s secrets from the tranquillity of water. You will feel like one of the raftsmen. The Bananaway SUP instructors will give you a brief introductory stand-up paddle-boarding course, so you can join even without previous experiences. Instructors try to adjust the tour to participants so you can expect funny balance challenges or a very relaxed SUP morning or sunset SUP session. It's a lovely hill with a chapel on it. Around the hill, there is a way along the stream, nice for hiking or cycling. There are tennis and soccer facilities around too.

Drava Center is a nice place outside of Maribor. You can rent different boats there and row on the Drava river. You can rent bicycles and cycle around. There's a picnic place, bar, restaurant. There are a lot of activities for children. An if you want, you can just take a walk and enjoy the landscape, or feed the ducks and swans.
