The island community of Marathon in the Florida Keys is a tropical getaway for your whole family. It maintains a retro, nautical atmosphere with family-friendly festivals and attractions. Activities include dolphin swims, snorkeling, and boating. Seafood festivals are scheduled throughout the year, and plenty of local restaurants feature fresh catches. Fishing is ideal off the pristine Sombrero Beach. Visit Crane Point to hike to the preserved home of a 20th century settler family.

Our helicopter tours range from a voyage over the shore line or flying the length of the famous 7-Mile bridge to circling the historic Sombrero Reef Lighthouse cruising over Bahia Honda State Park. Walk-ins are welcome and reservation times are available.
This was our second helicopter tour with Old City Helicopers. Our pilot was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and the sights that we were about to view from the sky. This time we chose the sunset view tour. The sunset was amazing. We also took some pictures and video of Marathon Key and the lighthouse. All I can say is that it was an amazing experience. We will return for a longer flight next time.

"NO FISH - NO PAY" GUARANTEE. " We Find'em, You Wind'em!" Don't miss the Main Attraction of the Florida Keys. Friendly, Professional Captains and Mates. A fleet of 7 clean, well maintained boats to choose from along with very competitive rates. All boats equipped with Light tackle and Live bait. We have different sized boats to accommodate 1-6 anglers. We love children and new anglers but also fish large business groups, and professional anglers. We run well over 1000 charters per year. We encourage customer's feedback and go the extra mile to make them happy. Please use your best judgment and read the reviews including our responses to the handful of negative ones. While we can not control the bite, we always work very hard to put our customers on fish. We only hire crews that are enthusiastic about catching fish! Please see our very detailed website on the internet. We have boats from 25' to 43'. Many options to choose from; Reef, Offshore, Wreck, 1/2, 3/4 and Full Day. Also Tarpon, deep dropping, sail fishing, tuna, dolphin, permit and Sword Fishing Charters just to name a few. Proven and Consistent Tournament Winners! We like "We like catching, Not fishing". Over the past 30 years in business at the same location, we have 10s of thousands of very happy customers. We have customers who have fished us 29 years in a row, and now we are also fishing their children and grandchildren!
First trip back to Marathon, Fl since the horrible hurricane Irma delivered her destruction. We were amazed with the progress with most businesses reopened. Main Attraction has fully recovered and was just like our last trip in July 17, a great time with lots of...MoreThank you for the review Bill! The Main Attraction crew always looks forward to fishing with you and your wonderful wife. Thanks for helping get the word out that the Florida Keys are indeed alive and well and so is the fishing!

Dolphin Research Center is a nonprofit education and research facility. Home to a family of dolphins and sea lions, we offer fun-filled narrated behavior sessions and educational presentations every half an hour. During your visit you can watch and learn all about these amazing animals including dolphin maternity, social groupings, physiology, natural abilities and more. You'll see how we care for them, how we're working with them in cognition and behavioral research and the importance of conserving them and their ocean habitat. DRC also offers a variety of interactive programs including the Dolphin Encounter swim program, Ultimate Trainer for a Day, Trainer Experience half-day program, Researcher Experience half-day program and Paint with a Dolphin. We are actively involved in programs for people with Special Needs, as well as veterans from the Wounded Warrior Project, Military families, and others. Most of our dolphins were born here. Others have come to us for a variety of reasons -- including those who were injured and rescued as youngsters and later deemed non-releasable by the government. We are deeply committed to providing all of them with a safe, healthy, happy home for life. The well-being of the dolphins and sea lions is our top priority. Your visit and participation in programs supports the care of our marine mammal family, the maintenance of their natural sea water home, and the rest of our mission to educate others about these animals and the importance of conservation. Thank you for your interest in Dolphin Research Center!
We went there with a family of 3 teenagers. The Dolphin Encounter experience was fantastic. Our group had about 35 minutes in the water with the dolphins after orientation. It’s spendy for a family of 5, but we budgeted for this in the trip. Lifelong dream so well worth it!!! The trainers and staff care so much for the animals. Glad to support this non-profit organization. We even offered our trainer a tip and she refused it and said to please donate it to the research center. Great staff!!

This is a must do if you are a turtle person. The place is amazing and the 90 minute tour is very interesting and informative. The lengths this hospital will go to, to rescue and save sea turtles is impressive. They are nonprofit and money from the tour helps support the program. You can also “adopt” a turtle as well to help support their cause.
Tip.....Call ahead and make reservations as tours fill up fast.

We always would walk down at sunset from our rental in Key Colony to enjoy the view and park. After Irma hit, the park, and much of Key Colony, sustained quite a bit of damage. The park is totally covered in sand now, but the view is still the same. In time it will be back and as beautiful as it ever was.

This is a wonderful parish that has been like a family to me for over 25 years. I watched the prayer garden evolve into a treasured place of meditation and peace. Then Hurricane Irma 'visited' the Keys. She got the vegetation from our garden (and the roof from our rectory!), but the church and parish hall are still strong! In addition, the statues in the prayer garden are still there! When you are in the Keys, come and see....we will all watch as the native vegetation comes back to make our gardens lovely again!

Had a great time today with Brian and Wayne showing us how to catch yellowtail snapper. We all together caught 18 keepers and had some other stuff on the hook that we lost.
I highly recommend this company and would look no further.
Thanks Jason and your crews for giving us a perfect day and thanks to Wayne for making us hungry for Coconut snapper with Thai-chili sauce with some of our catch next door at Sparky's Landing.

The 7mile bridge is a big cement brige that spans 7 miles. There is no place to turn out to take pictures. We did get a nice photo when we were on a boat to go snorkeling, and went under the bridge. It also looked nice at sunset from the boat.

Come with the A Deep Blue Dive’s crew to explore the only living coral reef in North America. The "Turtle," a 34 foot Crusader, a six passenger vessel. The "Sea Diver" a 30 foot, twenty-two passenger vessel or the forty-nine passenger, 45 foot Corinthian Catamaran "Island Time." Colorful tropical fish, beautiful corals, moray eels and more are waiting to be discovered beneath the Keys' pristine waters.
My kids did the discover scuba program. Melissa, the instructor, was very nice, helpful and patient. The kids had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their first dives. We did a family dive to Coffins patch, a 20ft dive on a small reef. A good beginner dive.
I recommend this dive center.

This is a spur-and-groove coral reef, sitting on the outer banks offshore of Vaca Key, characterized by large fingers of coral, separated by narrow sandbeds.
This is a great beach for sunrise pics. It was a fairly large beach with parking, picnic areas, beach volley ball net.
