It's all about having fun, pushing your boundaries, and finding your happy dance. That's what we believe. We are most known for our zipline tours but our Base Camp sites have loads of other outdoor adventures! We were named the 2014 Canadian Tourism Small to Medium-Sized Business of the Year and have won numerous awards from Tourism Saskatchewan since opening our doors in 2011! Open seasonally from May until the second weekend of September.

While staying in Cypress Hills, my two teens and myself decided to try the zipline. This was something we had never done before and Wow what a blast. The kids were begging to do again. Our tour guides were awesome!! They made the experience enjoyable with their funny jokes, interesting stories, obstacle challenges and most importantly their experience and knowledge with ziplining.... never once did I feel unsafe. I was very impressed with the length of the zipline tour and also a HUGE bonus is that they take photos for you throughout the tour. Awesome place!! Money well spent!! We will be back!! Thankyou Treeosix for making our holiday a memorable one

Historic Fort with Traders Outbuildings. From bunkhouses, officer's quarters, stables, gun shop, carriage house, etc. Surrounded by Forests and open space. Volunteers and staff in period costumes. Only wish they would sell trade items from the Traders building.
Check days open. Closed in winter. Closed Sundays and Mondays spring and fall.
The fort was built in June 1875, and was named for its builder, inspector James Morrow Walsh. The fort was intended to curb the illegal whiskey trade, protect Canada's nearby border with the United States, and aid with native policy. These factors had been brought to public attention following the Cypress Hills Massacre of 1873.

Grotto Gardens is a family owned seasonal Agritourism business in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. We have a Saskatoon berry orchard, country bakery & eatery, gift shop, animal viewing areas, Saskatchewan's first goat-walk & goat yoga. Great place to relax, taste the Saskatchewan prairie berry, have a glass of Cypress Hills wine, tasty bakery treat, take home a memento of your visit from the gift shop, feed the animals and see Saskatchewan's first goat-walk. Stop in for an hour goat-yoga session in the summer months. Grotto Gardens is for all ages and enjoyed by all.

Cowtown Kids is an amazing toy store located in downtown Maple Creek. I visited with my family in June 2016.
This place is crammed full of both retro and modern toys, party supplies, 1000+ puzzles, oversized stuffed animals, craft and activity sets, and almost anything else you can possibly imagine a toy store should have. Prices are reasonable and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The offerings here are all part of a carefully curated collection - clearly this operation is a labour of love.
Not so interested in toys, but children's books instead? Well, do I have good news for you! Their children's book collection wouldn't fit in Cowtown's original location, so they had to use space in the building two doors down. Here, you will re-discover those hard-to-find retro Little Golden Books you may remember from your own childhood, along with many other titles you haven't seen since elementary school.
This place is definitely worth the detour into Maple Creek if you are passing by.

The S.W. Sask. Oldtimers' Museum & Archive was started in 1926 to commemorate the frontier period in the history of Maple Creek and the Cypress Hills. The museum's collection is focused on First Nations, Metis, Fur Trade, NWMP, Ranching, and early settlement. The museum operates out of three facilities: The W.R. Orr Building (a 1910 Union Bank of Canada Building) located at 114 Jasper Street which houses the museum's archival collection and the historic Burnett & Orr Law Office exhibit. The 1935 Log Museum, Saskatchewan's oldest purpose built museum building, located at 218 Jasper Street. The C.M. Glascock Building (a vehicle dealership building that was constructed in stages between 1909 & 1930 and that operated as a dealership for 100 years) located at 222 Jasper Street which houses the museum's temporary exhibit hall, gift shop and public programming space.

This small museum holds a valuable collection which covers the early history of the area. The contributions of the First Nations, NWMP, and early ranchers are honoured in a respectful and informative manner. This is a must see for any visitor interested in history of the Canadian West.

Visited the new gallery recently. They are just getting established. They have kitchy collections of things for sale, boxes of rocks and geodes from a local elderly geologist and of course in the other half of the building a new art gallery with praire artist on display.

The volunteers who have assembled and maintained this collection have done a masterful job of creating a meaningful and vibrant preservation of the history and culture of the area. The twwo people working there were justifiably proud of the museum. The place is spotless and thematically well organized. This is the best small town museum I have been to. Any visitor to the area should make it a must see.

We made a point of finding the petroglyphs. As another reviewer has suggested, the area is now fenced to protect the petroglyphs from disrespectful travellers. But it is still interesting to see and read about. There is a very small and primitive interpretive centre just down the road, not the most elaborate interpretive centre but there are some interesting artifacts to see. The drive into the area is scenic as well, so we are glad we took the detour to check out the petroglyphs.

Come enjoy the "Good Vibes" in the historic Jasper hotel which has been in operation since 1903. Call ahead to book a table, room or event for a group. Join in the fun events and things to do. They are the "mini-casino" of SW Saskatchewan with VLT's, pool tables and live entertainment. They provide a large variety of cold beers, wines & spirits which they also sell as Off-Sales.
