What to do and see in Manila, Luzon: The Best Shopping Malls

July 7, 2021 Frederic Celentano

Metropolitan Manila encompasses six cities and 12 towns. Located on Manila Bay in the South China Sea, and bisected by the Pasig River, the capital of the Philippines is historic and modern, rich and poor. A popular sight is the walled area called Intramuros. The capital during Spanish colonization, Intramuros has retained old dungeons and gunpowder rooms but added art galleries and theaters. The city is filled with museums, shops, parks and churches, plus enough nightlife to last until dawn.

Shangri-La Plaza

I prefer this Mall than SM Megamall as it’s much easier to navigate around. Some nice shops and customer service at each on I visited was very good. However, shops are much more plentiful at SM Megamall. If staying at Edsa Shangri la the access is easy and security is tight which give a greater sense of security.

Robinson Mall has been here for years. It has grown and expanded. It is easy to get lost in and come out a different entrance than where you came in. I use my GPS to get around. There are money changers, cellphone stores, food courts, full service restaurants, little shops and large international brand shops like Marks and Spencer and Body Shop. Parking underneath, movie theaters and a full service spa and Massage as well s a gym. But the prices are reasonable here not like some other malls in Manila. Safe and security at all entrances

SM City Manila

This is the mall located in Aroceros St. In Manila. It is near Manila City Hall and Adamson University. This is not a big mall but you can find and do almost everything. It has a cinema, restaurants, department store and supermarket. If you just need to go to a mall where you can do a quick grocery and buy some important stuff, you can go to SM City Manila to shop.
