It is located in the center of the country, bordering Sagaing Region and Magway Region to the west, Shan State to the east, and Bago Region and Kayin State to the south. The regional capital is Mandalay. In the south of the division lies the national capital of Naypyitaw. What an incredible day sight seeing. I was picked up promptly at my hotel, taken from one destination to another by my driver/guide Kobala (who was absolutely fantastic). He's very knowledgeable & amazing company to be with (I'm a solo traveller). The places we saw were incredible & the tour was a great way to see all the best parts of the city. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mandalay.

We booked a day trip through Bagan at Sun Travel and had a day with our wonderful guide Nai! He was not only brilliant in sharing knowledge about the Pagodas and Bagan, but also he gave us so much interesting information about life, politics and people in Myanmar. He always cared for us in an excellent way and was super friendly and very adaptive to our questions and interests. the finish with the boat trip was a unique experience that we don't want to miss. And we had a lot of fun with Nai during the day. His English is also very professional. You should also book such a tour.

I took the tour today and it is absolutely worth the money! The bikes are in very good shape, the group was veeery small (aka only me and Sam, the guide), the food is good and plenty and we spent more than nine hours on and around the lake. We went through villages, different landscapes, where invited for tea and escaped the loud motor boats on the lake for a bit. Sam knows people everywhere, he explains a lot and I think he can really adapt the tour to the biking skills of his guests. Still, I think it helps if you're a secure rider, feeling confident crossing some smaller bridges etc - but absolutely not necessary to have any specific mountainbiking skills. To me, this was a perfect day around the lake, a lot more impressive and memorable than the "classic" Inle motorboat tour (that I did the day before).
