Around 100 of our over 150 old pedal/reed organs are on display and can be played to your heart's content, or just look and learn, or listen and sing, etc. We live in the building so are usually at home to show you around, but if you want to be sure, ring or e-mail ahead of time for an appointment. Will be a never-to-be-forgotten experience.

Despite its otherworldliness, the carpark for this gem in only a 15 min drive from State Highway 1 and well worth the excursion. At the carpark you'll find an information booth and an honesty box asking for $5 pp. Pay up and march across the farmland to a long steep descent to the river. When you reach the river, you'll see a stand of woodland/ native bush a few hundred metres upstream. This is where the boulders are. There's a table at the edge of the woods and a full set of table and chairs in the heart of the glade if you're planning a picnic. It's a long hard trudge back up the hill (carry water) but what an amazing place!!!

We had such an amazing time! We were very well looked after and the guys working there are lovely! The town itself is beautiful and so authentic, there is also an abundance of wild life in the area, including deer, moreporks, and so much more. The food was wonderful and there were always plenty of snacks. It is such a fantastic place to stay! Thank you to everyone who works there, it was great!

What a Superb location and the views are amazing l am using these because l love stair climbing and from here l am out climbing Wharite Peak so just message me if you ever want to do it. Very steep gets the heart rate up but if you are struggling just slow down and even if you have to wait a few minutes do it, this is a huge moment for a lot of people when you finally get to the top well done to all who do. Even if you do a few steps at a time keep going never give in and one day you may even get to do the other steps further along.

We caught the boat after tramping the Matemateonga track, which took us up to the bridge, per whanganui river adventures. This was well worth it, with such beautiful scenery. Ken gave us excellent history about the place, and a cup of tea as well! Go on a sunny day if possible, dress warmly for the boat, and wear good walking shoes.
